I ask this because I do not know what to expect at tier 3. In tier 2 i have had mixed results. While i enjoy having the missile defense, but at the same time, i use my ship to charge beacons and lay down mines. With that being said, having shield regen, to allow me to have a free module spot so i can have warp gate helps.
Ive also reviewed the proceeding ships (grizzly) and noticed the grizzly MK2 has better shield and hull then the -M, however it is reverse for the Anaconda ships. Now i wonder if i should be the MK2 for the proceeding Grizzly MK2?
So I am torn on which one to get. Any suggestions?
In tier 3 you can acquire a missile defense system which is better then the Armada drone passive having shorter cool down. So Its best to get the vanguard one.
Also the grizzly doesn’t seem to have a role bonus for some reason, that or its not shown. Is this a bug or something?
reward-bonus for Anaconda-M and MK2 are the same, hull and shield don’t differ that much (but yeah, the -M has slightly more HP on hull and shield). i guess you’re thinking about the alligator. i’d take the Anaconda-M because it’s faster, you’ll deal more damage because the drones are firing all the time and the drones kill another rocket once a minute.

It’s HP/Shield I look for. And since it has more, then mods which improve this are working with a larger base number.
The shield-healing drones don’t really make much difference when you’re in a pinch. And as RadimentriX mentioned, they aren’t firing when they are doing shield maintenance.
If you’re getting pecked by a player on an interceptor who is smart enough to stay +1400m away, the repair drones will make their life hell since they can still repair during stasis generator. Although they definitely won’t save you against a fighter using overdrive or multiple ships going all out out on you.

Avanguard version has serious trouble in its main role of close fire support. You NEED drones firing on the enemy, not performing miniscule repairs on your hull in combat.
And while cooldown on AMS function of Armada drones makes them weak for that role, it doesn’t stop them from firing on the enemy. It also enables you to forego AMS for other close combat active systems. Your slots are stressed as it is with close fire support having at least pulsar, movement inhibitor, weapon inhibitor and both AoE regen modules as near-mandatory and only four slots to fit them.

They actually kept me alive while several interceptors/fighters peck at me when in my Alligator Mk2 in a few games.
