I am pleased to announce the inaugural Solaris 7Star Conflict Tournament. This will be a Tier 3 8v8 single elimination tournament. You are allowed to bring lower Tier ships, but it is not recommended. Each match will consist of best 2 out of 3 games. The winners will move on to the next round.
All Rounds will be Capture the Beacon
Only the Team Captains need to sign up for the tournament. Once all 8 slots are filled you will find out who your opponent will be. In order to match teams up we will use the Custom Battle feature. Teams will switch sides after each game to make sure everything is fair. The Tournament will start @ 2pm Central Time (GMT -5).
I also need a couple of people to help Referee the matches. As there are 8 teams to start I would like to have 6 volunteers so we can have 1 on each side, but 2 more will work.

If you can garner enough support from your region I will host another tournament geared toward your general timezone. We also have Ladder Tournaments set up. Right now they are General, but I can break them up into Regions if necessary. I want http://Solaris7.org to be the Go To place for Tournaments as I already have the infrastructure set up. I also will host Private Tournaments for Corporations if they want.
I recommend contacting the GMs for this tourney, so they can contact some corporation CEOs to make them more aware of this. As of right now, sad to say, the player base is dropping faster than a bowling ball going down a crowded escalator.
IM interested though, I will see If I can join, but I probably will be alone.
I have posted this on WPK, and NASA websites hoping to get some interest. I also contacted TacticalWizard directly. I was hoping for a good tourny, but looks like it will end up being postponed as no one seems interested. I was hoping this kind of thing would keep people some what interested in the game until the DEVs get their heads our of their…well you get the picture. As I have also stated I am willing to host private tournies between corps, or inter-corp tournies as I already have the infrastructure set up. I want to make http://Solaris7.org the go to place for tournaments. I also have some Ladder style tournaments set up I would like to get going. I was hoping this tournament would get some people interested, and possibly help kick off the Ladders.
