The WolfPack [WPK]

*sigh* wish i could join a real corp

Find a corp you like the look of, tell them what you fly (class and tier), and show willing to learn. That should be enough for most of the Corps out there.

*sigh* wish i could join a real corp

There’s a few pretty decent corps out there, as well as a few mid-tier. Just apply to one you like the look of / suits your personal needs?

I know. It drives a lot of incentive out of that. Maybe we can organize some regulated customs for T5.

To gain synergy and have a good time. Some of the ESB-Folks will surely join.

Good idea Zap. And hell yea we’re ready!  :Dwop

Honestly, T5 is not the issue. Or rather, T5 is the issue. This mode is pushing for people to fly top tier, but so much of the game is invested elsewhere. I have £100+ worth of custom ships in T3, and I want to keep using them. But if I do, I can’t take part in Sector Conquest because I’d be facing T5, or even T4 (a T4 squad, even from an “average” Corp, would be painful to face in T3 ships).

All the investment is in the middle of the game. And now we’re expected to just walk away from it all? That’s not fair on anyone.

Sorry.

I shot all the Ducks.

@Jasan: Well it IS considered to be endgame afterall. Lets see how it will be.

I walked away from T3 to T4 when i was in EVO (long time ago) I know that changing in other tiers is not very comforting. Personally I dont like the T5s they “feel” stiff compared to T4s.

But who decides what endgame is? It sure as hell shouldn’t be the Devs; they don’t even play this game.

The endgame of Star Conflict to me is not to fly T5. The endgame is Corp battles. Not flying in squads vs randoms, but pure Corp vs Corp combat. The training match last night was far more fun than I imagined it would be; two squads of comparable skill, both equally well co-ordinated, fighting for dominance in a battle where victory and defeat are but a single out-of-position Engineer apart.

You don’t need to fly T5 for that. You shouldn’t have to fly T5 for that! I like the idea of T5 being where the best of the best fly, for the same reason I liked the old Fixed Tiers. I took great pride in slugging it out in the old T3, being part of a squad and having us all acting as a single, well-oiled machine… but I’d still hop down to T2 and fly solo because it was a different kind of game.

Just because I don’t enjoy the T5 playstyle doesn’t mean I should be excluded from the endgame.

Training matches among ourselves with auto-balance should be the only thing we do in Arcade lol.

We still get rewards in creds, syn and vouchers, absolutely immense skill boost for every participant (now i know why ESB are where they are, correct Zap?), fun as hell, disconnected from the ‘world of raging’.

Every time we get a minimum 10 people on that have the time and are willing to go for it… just GO FOR IT!

You are right about that. The thing is: Devs want to make money ofc. and we know that they went for the possibly most rtarded system they could find.

This is also reflected by mixed tiers. To give Players an incentive to get “better” ships.

On the other hand: this conquest-system seems to me kinda stock: I mean you dont go in Sector Fights in WoT with T5 Tanks… except the Lol-Tractor maybe.

Training matches among ourselves with auto-balance should be the only thing we do in Arcade lol.

Its a good way to synergize ships.

Most ESB got their ships synergized when there was no barrier between T4 and T5.

Farming times…

But of course you are right: You get all the normal rewards and in addition you have balanced matches with good players.

It helps a lot to improve your gameplay and the fun comes thru that you dont need to be raging at a stupid team.

Its perfect. Yet I love the element of surprise what the “crapmaker” might produce this time

Thing is, mixed tiers doesn’t give you incentive to get better; it punishes you every step of the way.

Fixed Tiers encouraged better ships. You knew that if you knuckled down and put up with those crappy Rank 7 ships then you’d eventually get the awesome Rank 9s all the big boys were flying, and then you’d be just as good as they were!

What Mixed tiers actually did was make people move down the Ship Tree. Nobody wants to move up to T4 because then they have to fight T5 ships, so they stay in T3. Sure they still have to fight T4 ships, but they are safe from the kill-squads and the utterly broken T5 implants.

They need to stop trying to punish players, and start offering incentives.

Exactly!

But thats NOT what the Devs think!!!

The incentive is: Grind to get punished less. There is no reason to argue about the pros and cons of such an concept.

For my liberal european (and paedagogical educated) understanding its wrong ofc.

To be honest: T4 was the only TIer thanks to this MM/Mixed madness that was fun to play. Especially if you have a 2-man-squad or limit yourself to R11.

In all other tiers it was terrible.

But why don’t they understand this? Is it some kind of cultural problem? Is it that Russians think that if people enjoy something they will stop paying for it?

Is it some kind of cultural problem?

Maybe… I cant tell…

Or the Guy responsible for economics is not very clever.

I mean: LOL at the red/black Paints action.

Yeah. That’s the kind of stupid that people deserve to be sacked over.

Are you guys ready to inflict some carnage later on? :Dwop

meh, seems that the battle prime hours will be on russian time, so… hardly

Are you guys ready to inflict some carnage later on? :Dwop

When? Ehen everyone’s asleep cause we can’t do ANY damage cause no one’s on to do damage?..

It will be funny (for not saying really sad) to see which corps will be dominating the whole SQ thanks to the actual fight times.
