I wish to make public recognition to NASA for the way they have conducted themselves as a corp when it comes to looking after others.
Back Story
The Steel Marauders entered into the star conflict universe nearly 2 years ago and in our first year i would like to think we were a very active friendly and competitive group.
The first corp we met were NASA we had a very spirited and competitive nature towards one another and there was some very fun inter corp revelry and banter.
How ever one year in and my wife fell pregnant with twins so i took a 12 month brake from gaming to help out more around the home. At this time NASA kindly opened its doors to any of my pilots and my self at this stage i declined and decide to keep my corp open just in case i returned but many of my pilots found new homes in the ranks of NASA.
12 Month’s passed and i returned to the game knowing i did not have the time for my own corp any more. But sticking in a true Steel Marauders Fashion Fly together die together i reached out to my former members at NASA where i was greeted with no concern of stealing back my members or upsetting the ranks instead i was welcomed with a position to fly with them.
I thank you for looking after my pilots and giving them a good home.
I thank you for welcoming me to your corp.
and I thank my Marauders for still being hear and being exited to fly with me once more.
So as we retire the Steel Marauders Banner and and lock up the Hanger i raise a glass to good times and to a new and stronger future.
Not just a player but a corp of about 20 to 30 active players that already had built there own corp and they were happy to fit us in and make it work without any problems and as a corp CEO myself i know how hard it can be to let other corps in for fear of disruption or internal arguments when this happened there were many issues with other corps sending spies around to create difficulty’s within other corps in the hopes they would shut them down and at the time we saw the demise of about 4 large and well known corps destroyed by such tactics

This is not EvE. You don’t have assets, tactics or anything worth spying. A corp is just a bunch of friends pew pewing for fun. You can troll a corp but that is easily corrected by kicking the troll. Other than that…
Tactics are also present in this game; Eve tactics are not the biggest thing on earth anyway. put on scrambler, focus fire. I see your brainwash still is on, Eviscerador.
Nice speech. Altough also kudos to you, that you are actually not clinging to your corp in this case, there are people who would have interpreted this a lot differently and would have cried all over the forums, that NASA stole your guys while you were away and stuff
We love those guys too. We came to Empire just because of them. Especially the really good sportsmanship

I’m not talking about big blob goon tactics. I mean real tactics. The ones before the engage. If your fleet commander is good, the engage is just the icing of the cake. All the previous movements, chase and preset nav points for optimal fleet management, those are great.
When I was playing in EvE we got from a traitor the loitering points and asset nav points of one of the sector corporations. You can now imagine what was next :01010:

I have to contradict you here. This game has had it’s drama with several corps being completely deserted or destroyed from the inside. Most ppl know exactly what Tealc is referring to. I’ll just throw out a name at random “Umari” … there are several more who still play the game so I don’t want to start another run away train or 8 pages of silly ppl saying “no I didn’t” but lets just say in the past it has proven no challenge for these former “CEO’s” to cause much grief.
More to the point.
Tealc is showing his appreciation to the members of a community and in good form. It is very bad form for you to come here and attempt to belittle that with your comments… shame on you.

Au contraire! I just don’t understand why being accepted by a known friendly corp with standard requirements is worth a post. For me this is more of self promotion than any other thing.

But hey, Kudos to you! NASA is great corp!
I wasn’t really trying to call you out… I know you are better than that.
It’s just a sad day that someone can’t come to the appropriate section to show appreciation for something only for someone to swoop in and try to stomp on it.

It’s Uhmari, I was in his corp at the moment of the stuff happening and tbh i think he mostly did it to himself via paranoia and exaggeration. You can’t actually productively spy in SC. What can you get, SQ schedules? Maybe some builds? Nothing really. You can only troll/annoy.
Tealc’s post does smell of promotion, even if it probably isn’t, with all the history and stuff. It’s just a tad bizarre
Don’t get me wrong i think NASA is great, it doesn’t need promotion :D. Keep it going and congrats!
There is a guy, he is a veteran player and pretty good one skill wise, apparently bored as hell because in the last couple of months he has joined 17(or was it 19 by now?) corporations (well mostly Russians, one of the biggest he hit was VIP with ~150 members), due to his personal skills he gets to “officer” rank, taking his time, and then bam whole roster is kicked, basically the same thing that happened to [DYN2] back in the days. While it would take just too much effort and time to get to officer rank in “organized” corporation, one still possibly could do it, if devoted enough.

I don’t think Uhmari’s actions are about this game tho. They were highly influenced by how he thought about corporations and space games, based on Eve Online. I think it’s also not entirely his fault, every ex-eve player knows you need a cold turkey, just to start to trust anybody you talk to on the web. But I can imagine more people could repeat such behaviour in the future, and of course there is Trolls.
However “infiltrating” a corp in SC does not really make sense and is not part of the actual gameplay.
In an acute case of Eveitis, best to pack up the rest of the apple, spit out the bitten part of the fruit, and return it to your local medical center. Do not attempt to watch an episode of Game of Thrones for a couple of days just to keep Azeroth safe. For the best recovery rate, try to wait until you forget your alt’s names. Stay away from nutrition like long limbed roes.
Uhmari was incredibly destructive to the growth of the community, as he recruited many lower ranked players and worked them into hating the game with the ridiculous corp rules, G4borg. Telling them they had to play so many hours, farm PVP rating, outlandish stuff like that. It is the similar thing DrDeath uses to say why CORP is better, PVP rating rated them higher, but CORP rarely beat most of the widely accepted skilled corporations…So…Anyways… Back to Uhmari… Coupling that with his incessant ramblings about having the ear of the developers and talking himself up, it was this…heavy weight that just. I don’t know…it was an interesting perspective into some poorly designed cornucopia of mental illness, especially when he self-destructed on the forums a few times, like “whoa, dude!”
That was what bothered me. We used to laugh about his claiming to have spies in NASA, since it was not worth the trouble in our eyes. We just play Star Conflict, bro.
Back to topic:
Tealc is our boy. He is just being thankful because we were looking after his crew while he was gone and received him back with open arms, flush with his twin bundles of poop. This whole dogpile about who is top corp, most elite, whatever. [NASA] is just [NASA]. We have some of the very best pilots around, and some not so great, but our community is full of solid dudes, should you venture forth and join it. well, [NA$A] GANG, yo. It’s for life.
