Man, that is nothing, back when i started this game, it took me good 2-3 moths to Confidently enter T3 games
Well, I still found that 8 days of battle time (192 hours) is a lot… Especially when twice as much time is spent queuing and hangar idling… That’s why I put the incentive on real battle time (wich is a lot), and not the time since I started the game (wich is a few).
And that’s too much of a grind for non-korean players (or without license).
I meant pilots like that:
Well… I just don’t understand how players that bad can enjoy the game… It’s not fun if you can’t destroy enemy ships once in a while… How can they have lesser than 1000 rating ?
Well, maybe it’s a definition problem then. I play the game for 2 months, with 8 days (out of 60 days, that’s 13% of my life time… a bit sad) spent in BATTLE total. I don’t even talk of the time lost in waiting queue and thinking of different loadouts…
I only have 2 T5 ships. 2 SHIPS ! Unnecessary to tell you they’re full of mk.1 modules. HOW IS THIS NOT A GRIND ? Even if I have chosen to upgrade my ships and modules in every other tier, to have a smoother learning curve and better gaming experience.
OT : I’m not a “tier rusher” and I didn’t do much T5 pvp out of sector conquest, but maybe the players you encountered are active in pvp in T3 - T4… But they’re just bad
It is only a grind if you want it to be a grind. Why do you need T5 ships now? The different Tier/Ranks are there for a reason not to make it hard for you to get to the end where nothing awaits you but that you gradually learn and the ships build complexity increases with your flying skill. Whats the point in having T5 ships if you don’t know how to fly them properly. And getting teh ships purple doesn’t make you a better pilot.
You can reduce the “grind” by not buying stuff you don’t use or need, just because you unlocked a ship you don’t have to buy it (unless you want to unlock higher ranked contracts for vouchers). I waited with buying ships in T5 until there was a sale and saved around 25mil credits. I did the same with T4 and T3 and also with some module upgrades.

Reason : Sector conquest / Pirate complex. But I agree that currently the game doesn’t evolve around it’s endgame. I find T4 and T5 much more balanced than T3. At least, I have more fun in T4 and Sector Conquest.
I bought most of my ships with week-end reduction and I have several ships unlocked that patiently wait a week-end reduction to be bought.
Still, and that’s only a personal opinion, I found this game way too grindy. But as I enjoy it, it’s not a pain, just that it’s too loong to buy new ships.
OT (playing devil’s advocate here) : about the bad T5 players, it’s sometimes hard to have informations about this game, making understanding the mechanics pretty difficult. Expert vs Standard piloting… With free aim available only with one of them (It take me 1 month to figure this and I check the forum since the begining of my playtime). Detailed information on ship’s resistances that are hidden unless you check the option menu… Those 2 things can already destroy your gaming experience. When you add the description of implant / module that are wrong / not clear enough… It becomes a nightmare for new comers. ie : every beginer thinks that implants affect all ships, and are not related to rank.

I know right, the lowest rating I ever encountered since I play is 799 rating, and this is in T1…

Lowest I’ve seen, sadly not in T1, and sadly for two battles in a row on my team:

(player name obfuscated because of naming & shaming rules)
For a while I tried to get down to 500 rating myself but had to give up, too much effort if you still want to complete contracts.
since u can just buy ur way to t5, there is many bad players in t5, there is alot of rushers (but those rushers doesn’t rush good players. well depending on teams"
all you gotta do is, = shot. this is shot or die game. so. do what ur supposed to. no need for this advanced talk. people just shots and see what they end up with.
I meant pilots like that:
let them play as they like, if they think they die too much and it becomes boring then they quit playing tier 5 and goes back to tier 3, thats how it works.
No that’s not how it works. They don’t care about dying because they’re not searching to be competitive at all. They just want to fly their xxxx shiny T5 ships. They wont stop playing T5 just because they die constantly.
T5 PvP should be special in that the game detects each person’s skill and puts the tier rushers on one team and the actually dedicated people on another team. This stops tier rushers from playing in their shiny T5’s becuase they’ll keep getting crushed. Who cares if its not fair? They deserve it anyways
As a tier rusher myself, I never use my rushed and very crappy Naga in pvp and I barely use it in PvE. At least I have the brain to realize that I need to get better ships and upgrade them before using them in the land of the pros and e1337’s.

There cannot be any separation in T5 now because there are not that many players. When we have at some point more players then sure put the inexperienced Tier rusher together.
A better ship doesn’t make you a better pilot. There are plenty of players that can beat you in T5 even if they use Mk1 gear you have everything purple.

I fly T5 mainly these days, and half the stuff on my ships is still mk1-2. As several people on the forums can tell you, i still do decently, despite sub-par equipment.

Well if you have mk-1 heals, even if you believe the oposite, you’re pretty useless for the team

I think he have mk4 heals but passive modules mk1/2

You don’t say. I was just pointing the obvious

Better ships mean more battles which probably should mean more experience… The more you play with your level and slightly high levels the more you learn…
Thats why i try to avoid T3 PvP… There are too many other Aces out there in T3 because they think they’re good but really can be crushed easily
I will never play T5 pvp-ever
The game needs to teach people that. Thats the whole misconception of tier rushing cuz they assume the stock modules are good enough for their ships

I have worse on lower tiers… Green stuff in T5 is great for me
