As some ppl have noticed (and posted about) T3 gameplay is very different from the experience we get in T2. I see complains on absurd healing capabilities (cerebus2), and getting one-shotted by nukespammers to name a few.
Hence, a simple little poll in order to get the crowds opinion.
T3 is not broken in any way. I have 2000 games won out of 2800 games played. The problem is that the people in T3 have been in T3 forever and are more experienced in the intricacies of T3. I got into T3 right as i could enter it and haven’t turned back to T2 as it is so limited in the way you can build your ships and implants used. If your getting wrecked in T3 take a step back and look at the people who you are playing against because your going to see the same people day in and day out in T3 because no body wants to even queue for T4. Team work and ship compositions also play a bigger role in T3 so if you don’t have any engi frigates on your team or only have one guy that keeps getting wrecked support him, dont let him go down because hes the one keeping you alive.
Also I had ESB and SkY to go against once I entered T3 and if you dont know who they are they have some of the best pilots in the game.
Nukes are broken at the moment and FF needs to be fixed.
Saying you’ve won 2000 out of 2800 is meaningless in terms of questioning if a tier is broken; you could just as easily be exploiting the broken part of it to pump the wins out.
There isnt any exploits in T3 just team play and communication is what wins most of my games 4 people usually carry the other 8. This is the reason you see some people at the top all the time b/c they are communicating and playing with a squad. Also dont think that the other team doesn’t have 4 mans in the queue also.

Never even heard of CBT, who are they?
Simple question: Do you own a Strong or a Cerberus 2?
Strong needs to get nerfed by its missle slots yes but i still got just as many kills with my dragon fly so idk if its relevent. The cerberus 2 is only really good if your rocking the lv 9 empire ability but then it loses out on cheeta for all your other ships.

Really, nothing more needs to be said. Because it’s that “communication” that delivers hilarious one button gives to all heals and why most squads nowadays are 2 engineers and 2 strongs.
Funnily, when flying in squads, most people don’t even bother talking to each other any more. There is simply nothing to talk about in the current meta other then the standard “let’s go to beacon x”. You don’t need focus fire to lolnuke everything to death.
Oh come now, we all know the devs tweak the poll results to reflect what they want. They just want to make it seem like you have a choice and even if you didn’t like the changes, apparently “everybody else” supports it…lololol
I suspect the in-game poll is skewed because most players haven’t played T3 and don’t read the forums so have no knowledge of the nuke problem.
I remember when I first joined in 0.7.5ish the poll was “Which ship class do you think is the most powerful?”, and I chose interceptor because I’d only flown T1. Then a week later I got to T2 and went “ohhh, *now* I get why everyone else voted Frigate”.
And it’s demonstrably untrue that the devs rig polls to show what they want. Before they mixed the tiers they did a poll to see if players wanted it and the majority voted against it. They just did it anyway.

Cmon, do you honestly believe that your self? What could they possibly benefit by doing that?

I’ve seen poll results change by almost 10% though in the matter of a few hours right before the poll ended. I do believe we’re both talking about the same poll too. 4 am EST and the votes against were leading by 6-7% over the next highest option…11 am EST the same day and somehow the “players support mixed tiers” is in the lead by 2% by the end of the poll. It’s not like a bunch of players were like “oh hey a poll i didn’t see” and all exclusively voted for the option the devs supported at the last second.
If the player base feels the developers are making negative changes and totally ignoring any input on their part…then you lose part of that player base potentially.
If the player base thinks the main reason behind these negative changes is based on a community decision then they’ll hold out waiting for the devs to “fix” what was obviously a bad choice by the player base.
In the end the developers already know what changes they want to make in the long run and there really isn’t much you can say or do about it. Development plans have a timeline for a reason. This isn’t a democracy…they make the changes and if you don’t like it then too bad. The polls are put in place to make you feel like you have a say in the matter.
It’s the whole put a crab in a pot of boiling water and he’ll thrash and fight for his life…put him in a pot of cold water and gradually increase the temperature and he’ll sit there happy as can be until he’s well done.
This game is played globally. And that means players are from different timezones, leading to people (waking up to) voting at different times. That also means geographical differences, and that way cultural differences (different ways of view lead to different opinions even in smallest of matters).
I would even make such bold claim, that certain locales (and that way timezone(s)) have different variation of tiers where the players are than some other timezones; Due to earlier-beta being a bit generous in tier leveling, and game being known better in some other parts of the world than in others (during this earlier-beta)… Different tiers play totally differently currently in this game, and those can cause opinion differences. Some person thinks stuff are totally OK as he plays only T1, while someone in T3 thinks differently.
All this combined to rather small player base, and that way rather small voter base, it is not so hard to figure out a bit more simpler reasons for voting fluctuations.
I don’t like the outcome of the vote either, but I at least use tinfoil only for barbecuing.
PS: Error has stated here at the forums that the Nuke issue is being looked into. For most of us, this “Friendly Fire issue” is not actually Friendly Fire issue, but a Nuke issue. I can totally live with everything else not causing FF, as long as Nukes would (or some other option, that reduces current Nuke-fest). All other current forms of damage are quite manageable even if they would not cause Friendly Fire. Even the missiles from LRFs.
They released the 0.8.1. patch notes on russian forums. No FF for arcade, missiles and nukes do damage to shooter himself but not teammates.
Full missile/nuke FF for standard.
As standard is dead, this is probably a final straw for T3. I guess they needed to not nerf strongs since they sold a lot of them not to get a massive wave of whining from those who bought it.
Those who don’t get it, strong is a command fighter and has enough diffusion shield in the right build to fully absorb nuke’s damage, so self damage will not deter “nuclear winter” gameplay introduced in update#2.
Hmm, not as much as I was hoping for this long after 0.8.0. No explicit nuke fix besides leaving FF on in Realistic, but that still leaves T3 Arcade kind of screwed. Removing 2 guns from engineers makes sense. They seem to have done something with engineering drones that I’m a bit unclear about, but no mention of changes to Remote Shield Generators, which is disappointing.

New PvP Scenario though. Whee!
They buffed engineer healing from drones. They are not always on and activating them makes them AoE repair everyone in range for a while before going on CD.
I guess there just wasn’t enough healing output on engineers.
