This a part of the plan I have regarding how to improve the forums for players who want to quickly find information they need.

I did search for advice on the forums when i joined the game, and found e.g. Kostys posts ![:p](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/004.png “:p”)

But not as guides, rather when people asked questions, his answers often had the missing links. I think people should be brave to ask questions!

 

Mostly obscure mechanical rules, which were hard to decipher from the game, came up over the years, but I admit, usually they didn’t make it from discussion into guide…

 

Usually, the biggest motivation to “write helpful guides” comes from people who want to learn or are in the process of learning themselves; explaining stuff to an audience usually is the best way to become an expert, which is the humbling part of teaching. I think, there is a lot in the forums which could be helpful information, and a lot of people in the forum, who know a lot about questions some might have - and those questions should be asked, and those who write the guides, should look for them and summarize them.

 

I do have to say, the search function indeed seems to be terribad with finding titles, totally agree with DRF. I noticed that especially when searching for the corp logo thread, or the resistance formula back then. Seems to be the weakpoint of this forum software.
