‘Forget this nonsense, the Universe if fine’. (this would make a good taunt or slogan for the hangar too)
Good story… looking forward to the next part.
By the way, there is a typo:
‘Forget this nonsense, the Universe is fine’.

Yup. That’s why I underlined it too.
‘Forget this nonsense, the Universe if fine’.
I’ve fixed it, thank you for the remark.

you should keep it for the next slogan-contest

Yep, I like this cliffhanger.
two shimmering lights above the words ‘Multiphase shield adapter’ and ‘Microwarp gate’
the cockpit of Raptor MKII is located in the bow
Smuggler released several charges from the coil mortar
Henry is a n00b engi.
Henry is a n00b engi.
well he is in a raptor…
Have to have patience, he is still learning how to fly and equip his ships I don’t know why Miss Summer trusted him to carry her cargo though…

She had her own reasons =)

Women aren’t reliable, or maybe they are?
Perhaps, to lower suspicion?

Because carrying something important in an Octopus or a Ronin would have been suspicious.
It’s like saying :
WOUHOU, I’m a secret projet ship carrying some random stuff ! IT’S PROBABLY NOTHING IMPORTANT !

Yes, but a raptor…? That’s just insulting ^^ At least she could have chosen a cruise tackler or a 700 m/s cov ops. Then even if they look suspicious, they can evade everything!
What mercenaries? He left UMC three years ago. Even if it was a mass mailout, the computer was not supposed to accept it. His eyes skimmed over the text, trying to find at least some secret message, a hint.
Read carefully.
He’s not a mercenary anymore. He doesn’t have access to all the stuff we have.
Explaining why he’s using a Raptor with a poor Fitting.
This guy was probably “Henry the Bot” flying its raptor in straigh line directly into ennemy fleet.
I don’t know what you were expecting xD
Let’s read the [part 2](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/28354-summers-gambit/?p=338734)
Man, cloning? It’s midichlorians all over again…
Though it is nice there’s some background story for future updates.
Aaaah, so they do it with clones. This settles a few things.
Please make a book or something that contains all the texts together or give me links pls someone this is interesting
Illuminati confirmed…
Wait, so he cloned himself and ssent his clone to die with the cargo? And then the original Henry flew off in the Nyx? I didn’t quite understand that part

Yeah, all the chapter 3 is from the PoV of Henry 22 except for the epilogue.
That is why I never got in to the “cloning” system of Eve and Star Conflict. Your original “you” is dead since the first time you died. You can’t transfer your soul to the next body, just your memories, so to all effects, the original “you” ceases to exist at the moment you die. What you have afterwards are copies, different beings which share your memories up to that point. But from your OWN point of view, you will be dead the first time, as in real life.
To be honest, if I want copies of me, I would make them the old fashioned way. It is much more fun.
Cloning is an interesting subject. Copying a body shell or whole organs will be possible in future, but copying a brain/memories would require entire comprehension of how it works. This means that the creation of a brain from scratch should be possible, therefore why use a human pilot at all? Just install a programmable brain into a ship, which then becomes a drone! It would make a lot more sense than cloning a pilot hundreds of times!
