suggestions for much needed improvements for invasion mode

I only wish a few of much needed improvements for now.

Scanned cargo containers should have the name of the cargo content below and the number, even if you jettison it. However, they should only be visible by the player, who drops the cargo.

Ore should always give ore, not 100 or some other random credit number. If ore later spawns on the same spot, you should get the same ore and not different.

Crystals should always give crystals, not 100 credits or other random credit number. If crystals later spawn on the same spot, you should always get the same crystal and not anything else.

Each resource should give you one piece at a time, like it is now.

or:

Each resource, such as ore, crystal resources and so on, should always give you from 1 to 3 pieces of the same resource, depending with what ship you scan and collect with.

The resource won’t change, but it will remain the same. Floating asteroid will always give you the same resources, as long as you wait there to collect them.

Spatial scanner enhancement, or a new CPU module - craftable equipment for the mining/collection purposes:

Expand the collection process and provide a feature with the special CPU device or by modifying the spatial scanner, so that you can continuously mine an asteroid.

If nothing else, provide a mining feature of some kind. The device will have to be craftable in the workshop and attached to your CPU slot as well for it to work.

All you would need to do, is to orbit an asteroid and use and fire your weapons, such as lasers, while in scanning/mining mode on the designated visual HUD spots to get the resource immediately, rather than to wait for it for another minute or two to spawn. Waiting for the loot to spawn is the most boring and unwise decision so far. It needs to be improved or fixed with either one or both options.

1 item per each cargo slot is not exactly the best idea.

Items of the same kind must stack.

There should be no more credits from the ship’s debris, only components, which give credits, but not from the resources, but from ships.

We need to distinguish between cargo slots and each slot capacity.

Slot capacity only comes into effect, if the item stacks.

Summary: Sizes; S for small, M for medium and L for large

For  small ship classes, such as ECM, Recon and Interceptor                                                        We should have 1 same item per 1 cargo slot.    Example: Standard recon will have 3x1=3 cargo slots.

For medium ships, such as Gunship, Command and Tackler                                                          We should have 2 same items per 1 cargo slot. Example: Standard gunship will have 5x2=10 cargo slots for stacked items.

For large frigate ships, such as Engineer, Long Range Sniper, Long Range Torpedo and Guard  We should  have 3 same items per 1 cargo slot. Example: Standard Engineer will have 6x3=18 slots for stacked items.

Premium ship status cargo slots size:

Small:     3 cargo slots x 1 =   3 cargo capacity + 2 cargo slots for premium status = 5 x 1 = 5 cargo slots and capacity    Total amount is   5 x 1 = 5 full cargo capacity

Medium: 5 cargo slots x 2 = 10 cargo capacity + 2 cargo slots for premium status = 2 x 2 = 4 cargo capacity                   Total amount is 10 + 4 = 14 full cargo capacity

Large:    6 cargo slots x 3 = 18 cargo capacity + 2 cargo slots for premium status = 2 x 3 = 6 cargo capacity                   Total amount is 18 + 6 = 24 full cargo capacity

Top Secret Project ship bonus (+1 cargo slot or +4 cargo slots) with premium status already applied and included (+2):

+1 cargo slot bonus for Top Secret Project ships

Small:     5 cargo slots + 1 cargo slot = 6 cargo slots x 1 =   6 full cargo capacity

Medium: 7 cargo slots + 1 cargo slot = 8 cargo slots x 2 = 16 full cargo capacity

Large:    8 cargo slots + 1 cargo slot = 9 cargo slots x 3 = 27 full cargo capacity

+4 cargo slot bonus for Top Secret Project ships

Small:     5 cargo slots + 4 cargo slots =  9 cargo slots x 1 =   9 full cargo capacity

Medium: 7 cargo slots + 4 cargo slots = 11 cargo slots x 2 = 22 full cargo capacity

Large:    8 cargo slots + 4 cargo slots = 12 cargo slots x 3 = 36 full cargo capacity

If your ship is completely full and with stacked items and if it gets destroyed by an enemy, you will not drop 36 cargo containers, if you’re using a Top Secret Project frigate, like an Octopus.

You will drop (if we take into account +4 cargo slot bonus for top secret projects for the Octopus) 12 cargo containers.

Each cargo container should contain a number a number count, such as (3), which indicates the amount of the stacked items in one container.

If the enemy is a regular interceptor, such as Recon, it can only take 3 individual/different cargo containers and only 1 item per each cargo slot.

or:

One scan is enough to grab the same stacked items from 1 full container and allocate them to all cargo slots.

If the enemy is a regular medium sized ship, such as Tackler, it can only take 10 items per each cargo slot.

Which means, that  it will have to scan the same container 2 times to and it will take 2 of his cargo slots.

or:

One scan is enough to grab the same stacked items from 1 full container and allocate them to all cargo slots.

If the ship only have 1 cargo capacity left, it will take just 1 of the same item and leave the rest in the container.

Interface features:

Cargo slots in the interface could stay the same, but with transparency option in the game menu and the option to minimize it, so you can see an entire screen.

Top Secret Project ships should feature from 1 to 4 more bonus slots for the cargo.

They should be treated like premium ships, which gives you 2 cargo slots and 1 more cargo or even 4 cargo slots for top secret project ship.

Octopus should have 9 or 12 slots then, if you follow both examples.  6+ (2 for premium) + (1 for top secret project) = 9 cargo slots,  or  6 + (2 for premium) + (4 for top secret project) = 12 cargo slots

Cargo loot items must stack to get 2/2 of the same item or 3/3 of the same item.

Other high level credit loot, such as thermal cooling unit, light cell from mysterious containers should count as well and stack with the same cargo.

Loyalty Vouchers and classified documents and artifacts should not stack. Each item should occupy different cargo slot.

If you jettison the loot, you discard each item individually, which means if you empty 1 cargo slot of 3 items, since you’re flying a frigate, you will drop 3 cargo containers.

If the cargo slots are full, the name of the item inside of the cargo container should be written anyway, even if you can’t collect it, since you can still scan it.

Top Secret Project ship special bonuses and benefits:

Top Secret Project ships only use fuel for the warp jumps, but not for the travel around the sector.

Top Secret Project ships can respawn one time for free, like any premium ship, if they get destroyed.

Top Secret Project ships should have the same standard and free synergy bonus included by default.    (15% standard and free synergy in PVP, PVE and SQ mode)

or:

Top Secret Project ships should have the best standard and free synergy bonus available.                     (+10% more standard and free synergy)  15% + 10% = 25% standard and free synergy

Top Secret Project ships don’t need to pay for ammunition and repairs.

GS based ammunition/missile used in PVP, PVE and SQ mode should still count.

Exclusive:

Top Secret Project ships don’t use up any form of ammunition and missiles, if they are flying in the Invasion mode only.

Same counts for ammunition paid with GS currency, because it currently provides no benefits to synergy in Invasion mode. Loss of GS with no benefits in Invasion is not justified.

Alien Hunters should always drop a monocrystal and an artifact piece. (neural transmitter - 150 artifacts). Each destroyed Alien Hunter should drop 2 ship debris at the same time.

Alien Fighters should always drop a high credit alien loot component (from alien warp drive to bio-locator) or some low-to mid (20 - 100 artifacts component). Alien Fighter should drop 1 debris.

We need to support the developers!

Love the stacking items idea. But multiple stacks of the same item is needed. (Esp when I’m graphite ore farming)

And howabout hunters always drop one Monocrystal and a random amount of artifacts. And bios should always drop those awesome massive-cred drops.

I know all of the issues, trust me.

I meant exactly, what you wrote.

If you don’t stack the same items, you may only get maximum of 8 slots now.

If you would stack the same items, you would get 24 of them, if you would use Mauler.

The point of this thread is to implement simple, yet easy to make changes, which will definitely improve the current system.

I really do hope, that developers will take into account all of my suggestions, even those older ones, which are still not yet implemented in the game.

Improvements are vital to attract new players and keep existing ones. So far, it’s the opposite.

I hope, that this changes really soon in the next major update.

Developers have all the cards.

I have all the chips.

This is all I have to say.

This is my last suggestion post here and probably the last one in this year as well.

See, this is why the Devs should listen to the community.

thanks for the input - forwarded to Devs

this suggestion seems reasonable. but it will require further analysis so can’t give any specific details yet. But thank u for this idea. it was very useful.
