i hit that asteroid and somehow got in to it… and only way out were destroying ship.
Happened to me as Captain in another map, one of the enemies managed to get inside with me, and no one from the outside could help.

:facepalm: I had to 1v1 another guy and I couldn’t get help from my team, that was indeed on purpose.

Yes, because residente and other veteran players only get to where they are now by cheating… :facepalm:
Or know that explosion damage will still affect you if you’re stuck inside something so a Jerry LRF could get a cap kill.

every bug is repeatable if its not fixed or been any new patches since the last time it happend.
Dude, that thing happened to me too, but a looooong time ago. But ive seen captains inside structures that are impossible to enter, hiding effectivelly against anything.
High speed + lag = bam, you are inside structure.

A captain was hidding inside an Asteroid, no one was able to shoot it.

No, it’s a bug exploit.
Last time I had this bug, I prefered selfdestruct (not in combat recon) instead a stay stuck forever in the asteroid xD
Had the same issue in 2 places:
- In Pirate Base Attack PvE, I tried to hide under the third objective on the first stage but my Tiger M was too big to fit, no problem said the Pillager and rammed into me making my ship slide under the objective and then further into the building after sliding down a bit:

In PvE I couldnt get out, but in PvP luckly I managed to get out and took the screenshot of place of entry.
happened to a teammate with the bomb not too long ago. made it a one bomb game for a while. we wanted to try what happens if you suicide (will the bomb stay there?) but then we won the game. i know after a while the bomb would have reset.
i myself was stuck as captain in a building a long time ago.
in PvE i managed to get stuck in a building and also get out of it via moving crazy around corners.
the problem isn’t the getting in part, which is an unfortunate bug. the getting out part however, suicide as captain isn’t a good option either. it’s a terrible fate in realistic.

I’ve always been able to shoot people stuck inside asteroids or other objects. So i don’t think it can exploited to survive. If anything it makes you a sitting duck
I reported a similar bug last month I think. Happened only once since I started playing tho so it must be hard to reproduce.

I was definitely invulnerable to outer fire once inside, even if I scratched the surface. Since I could not see the asteroid itself from inside (no texture) I could even watch the whole enemy fleet firing at my position, and I definitely was not hit by anything, even explosions, just my own bumps into this invisible prison cell, bumping against it like a bug into a window.
Needlessly to say, it was scary and funny at the same time.
Maybe they changed something in the latter patches, but I really doubt it.
But since this happens so rarely, and even if, usually you die by collision damage easily in the first seconds (since you do not see the asteroids’ walls from inside), I think if nobody intentionally is able to warp into asteroids, this isn’t that big of an issue imho. Gratulate the poor fly guy to be a lucky bstrd instead, if he is also captain.
