Guys! Don’t be surprised if you get chased by FrogSwarm [FROG] members in open space. We might be on their KOS (kill on sight) list because of an unfortunate incident in open space:
Unfortunately, there was no answer to my question so I can just assume I messed with his OS mission while killing NPCs.
Anyway. I don’t encourage anyone to hunt FROGs only at your own risk. I am a + karma player so I am not the one who shoots first… most of the time. Especially not at a 5 ranks lower players like him.

He told us that you guys attacked him with no reasons and that he was all times attacked which btw surprised us then we said shut the f* up because STELL never attacked us we never had trouble with them, then you probably did something. [NASA] and [OWL] had this kind of encounters with them in OS.
They basically run around in chicken tacklers using cheap weapons (like doomsday) and camp people. Did I mention the part where they verbally attack you?

Well, the PVP is exciting! And I like how losing a ship actually has consequences. But I agree it is very time-consuming. Exploration is the most fun I find. See lots of different systems and sites, high chance of PVP, high chance of death, but high rewards, don’t need to grind for hours. And the social aspect is a very developped. Huge fleets, alliances, owning systems and starbases which have a positive influence on your income… Unfortunately this comes at the price of RL-esque diplomacy and drama, as you say.
Oh and I love the idea of a player-driven market!

We work like it maybe because we are from EvE Online, but for us standings means everything. If you are red, we are going to formup to kill you if a scout see you in the OS. It’s create pvp content by ourself without asking or waiting Gaijin to do it.

You seems to not really know EvE Online. If you are a grunt, you don’t need to use your time as diplomatie or remove any Alliance drama. Trust my long experience. When we were known as [TCF] Tau Ceti Federation, I had the chance to lead and run the Alliance, making friends around the world, kicking other blocks with Goon and Red since we were called RSF (Red Swarm Federation). From 2006 to 2010 it was a damn blast that I will probably never have again anywhere else in a game. EvE is THE game that you need to play even if you are a casual gamer. If you don’t have any responsibility you’ll only need to be in fleet when needed and stick at your activities in normal times. Be a part a such big group was our Alliance is an experience, a must to live with no doubt.

I do class as a grunt but am currently in a small more “personal” null sec alliance, with other ex-SC players (I’m not ex-SC yet, but tending that way). It’s fun but I still see the drama, even if I try to keep away from it with a ten foot pole

Thank you for offering your intervention and a civil solution in such situation. Please, feel free to contact our leadership in any similar cases with our members. We, in STEEL, like to keep a good atmosphere the same way without any unnecessary nonsense. As you can see in our forum intro, the importance of this basic code is emphasized and clearly stated.
However, don’t expect us running to you with complaints after the first hassle. I think I am not mistaken when I say that most STEEL members are pretty easy going players and don’t get offended for the first bad word. What is more, probably these situations would be fueled by us for the sake of some fun and trouble. My posting of that little incident with a FROG member, too, was merely informative towards STEELers and I have also seen a good opportunity to get our members involved in something out of the daily monotony. Plus, I am always ready for some teasing.
Discussing about the first shot is pointless. Open space is the place for trouble and, though, most of us use this mode only for the daily passive grinding we have a few trigger happy members here. This is the game of conflicts after all. So, even though we do not have a KOS list or such just keep your eyes peeled as we do.

True and I couldn’t be more agree with you about the OS. This is why we are creating our own content in it, we created the standing board and killboard for this purpose. Vikings and Frogs are ennemies in the OS but we have really good contacts, we are trying to create the missing content in the OS to make it more fun, more dangerous, more exciting. So if you want, we can create a false conflict between our corps. We set you hostile then we will shoot at you when we have the occasion to. Or set as ennemies and we will formup to kill any of you in the OS and have good fights

Oh, we are definitely on the same page. We don’t tolerate vulgarity and disrespectful behavior. Members have been dismissed from STEEL because of such attitude. But, in my opinion, raging happens and it can be funny to a certain point and level. I usually give others a little cool down time as I too need some time out to chill occasionally.
Trouble making does not require cursing anyway. It is best if done with style.
About the corp vs corp fights in OS: Unfortunately, our members seem to be busy and to not care much of organised corp events recently. But I will keep this topic on surface and will tell you if there is any interest in such activity. Thank you for your efforts trying to make the game more interesting.
