Most of this seems pretty good, but the “slow ship” explanation isn’t right-first of all, at 1% the speed of light, people would age more or less normally, so travel that long isn’t feasible- warfare would be nigh impossible if travel occurred only via generation ships, not to mention that on the map we can see how large the area we’re talking about is. And the warp gates inthe new mode prove that massively FTL travel exists, also(we assume) on carrier ships, probably a form of the Alcubierre drive. Second, warhammer 40k occurs around 39,000 years after SC. Anyways, this whole thing is cool, although I assume the connections are simply from generic scifi stereotypes.
