Star Conflict Training Center

Hi,

I couldn’t find any topic regarding ship builds, how should any ship be played … why are they good at it etc. It would be great if you could make a subforum oe something where people could talk about builds, module combinations and so on. Afterall i think build has a lot of influence regarding ship in the game. So what do you think ?

You might want to add +1 in this thread so we could have such sub-forum created:

Most people have just been starting specific threads “How do I fly [Your ship here]”

There are some general rules that will allow you to fly any ship well, but it would be nice to see some actual example builds.  I suppose eventually the wiki will have all that sort of stuff on it, but until then…

Yeah, atm problem with the wiki is that we need to build all the basic data from the ground up - ship stats, modules, etc. Kind of tedious task putting all those numbers in.

Such forum thread would be great to aggregate all skilled and veteran players opinions and advices and then filter and collect them as a guide on the wiki.

Also, apart from Genatei’s Ship Constructor tool there seems we don’t have that many number crunching and theory-crafting threads around.

People still confabulating and discussing fairly basic concept of mitigations and formula for it - while they should be throwing some raw data spreadsheets already.

You Haz spreadsheetz?? Gief!

In all seriousness, hard data is kind of what I’d like at the moment. Been playing long enough to get a good feel for how the modules work and what’s good. Relatively transparent stats in game are also a great help. It is, however, still difficult to get a good idea of how much your resists are actually contributing and how much damage your weapons are actually going until you really do some number crunching.

Haha I actually have some done while preparing to transfer all that data to the Wiki, but I’m not huge number cruncher myself. I might link some of them via google docs in the near future, though, for smarter than me people to look at them and figure out formulas.

Still - tiny number of typical theory-crafting threads on these forums (and amount of disagreement about fairly simple concepts) is baffling.

When get enough guides I will create a seperate section for it. Until than I will pin every usefull topic.
