Star Conflict: The ‘Invasion’ has begun!

ummm do you think they will add a trading system ?or new aliens in invasion ?  :alien3:

Supposedly a trading system would break the game for some odd reason. I just don’t understand why we can’t keep the loot we get in Invasion, PvP or PvE and store it in the armory then we just bring it out into invasion for simple trading.

Also, I believe that the aliens that are now attacking us are the precursors. Correct me if I’m wrong. After 3 or 4 years or so when the game starts to slow down I’d like it if the developers came out with a line of alien faction ships. It would come with different lore than the current aliens. Also the ships would have different special modules.

so this means we wont expext any patch every thursday with surprizes and new stuff :D? so what will hapen with the dreadnoughts? will they ever been made or its just a legent?

The former is likely because it would potentially create a power imbalance and reduce grind. Low-mid pilots could hunt for crafting materials and sell them for a lot of credits, loyalty voucher drops or iridium. High level players, who already have millions in the bank doing nothing would use that wealth to get Mk V gear faster and would essentially remove credit grind for many pilots.

As to the latter, the biomorphs as presented now don’t really work as a faction, but they are close. They just need class assignments.

The one major thing I think is missing from this game is cockpit view. I don’t mind if it has disadvantages such as lower field of view, I like the realism of cockpit view, and think it should be an option. Anyone else?

not realy  because it will be realy hard to hit someone think about driving an interceptor for example and having your mouse cousor only on your front

ok. np.

What’s new?

So? It will affect only the player using the cockpit view, not you. I honestly wouldn’t use it for fighting but if there are people who want it I don’t see why not.

Although a lot of more important stuff should be done first.

i hope aliens win…

i hope dreadnought come out because i would like to build a ship made out of scrap  :005j:

Dreams… are so beautiful(unless your mind is fcked up then it’s bad trip every night XD)

It’s like joystick support.  It’s provided to shut people up for begging for it and just to prove how bad it is.

Cockpit view would be suicide outside of T1 for PvP, and a major disadvantage for PvE, but it’d be a fun addition for Invasion mode.

I’ve just thought about one thing:

dreadnought + invasion + Aliens + many players + all in one map for the event = SUPER WAR OF THE DEATH *-*

I’ve just thought about one thing:

dreadnought + invasion + Aliens + many players + all in one map for the event + unstable servers = disappointment

I think it would go more or less like this.

I think it would go more or less like this.

you’ve just killed my dream.

My concern is that things will pretty much go as follows:

  1. A few new players will quit at Tiers 1 and 2 because this isn’t EVE. Not really a problem.

  2. A few will quit at T1 because there is nothing in the way of options there and so they get a bad impression.

  3. Of those that make it to T3, a fair few will quit because of grind.

  4. Others will get pissed off by the scattergun approach of having to play Invasion to farm materials to build the best gear for use in PvP.

  5. More still will quit because T3 is full of purple vets.

  6. Most of those who tough it out to T4 will get pissed off by the terrible matchmaker and either quit, or turtle at T3.

  7. All of the above will result in a huge upsurge of negative feedback about too much grind, pay to win, OP gear they can’t get, bad matchmaking and accusations that the game isn’t finished.

  8. This negativity will result in someone at Gaijin trying to ‘control’ the negative reaction, so I predict a PR blunder on Steam that will black mark the game in the eyes of the community and ultimately cripple it.

Well, that is your opinion.

For each 10 players trying the game, 1 will keep playing for long, while the others will leave after one or two months, or after a few games.

But this is always the same in every game.

It is like WT ground forces. When it was released it was full of burned WoT players who wanted other new game. After they saw that GFs was even worse gameplay wise than WoT, half of them went back, some others kept playing.

I expect with the launch, proper servers and adversisement, we will reach the magical point where we can play in our servers all day without need to switch to russian.

I just hope they had reinforced the server capacity so people won’t leave because of lag. The launch week will see a big influx of players if the devs do their homework.

New T3s going up against full purple T3s is still better than new T4 pilots going up against full purple (and orange) T5 ships…

But that’s my point. New players are going to get slapped across the face by bad matchmaking once they hit T3, and then if they stick around long enough to hit T4 they’ll get another, even bigger slap to the face! This is why I posted suggestions about pushing vets up to T4 and out of T3 so that they can divide T4 and T5 again and make the transition out of the training tiers and into the main game less jarring on the new blood.
