Ratings: Corporations
* In order to increase competitiveness, PvP-ratings of corporations now gradually decrease over time.

Game modes: General
* Added a new battle mode “Detonation”:

  • The task is to destroy the enemy’s navigation station.
  • To destroy them, you need to find an EMP-charge on the battlefield and deliver it to the enemy station.

Battlegrounds: General
* Added a new battlefield “Lava Spines.”

Game balance: General
* Reduced cost of repairs for T2 and T3 ships.
* Increased the size of the guaranteed income for participation in combat.

Ships: General
* Improved ship dynamics:

  • Increased agility.
  • Increased dynamics of acceleration.
  • Reduced rate of lateral movement.

Weapons and modules: Plasma
* Heavy plasma: Decreased barrel turning speed during shooting.

Weapons and modules: Active Modules
* Changed the model of combat drones.

Interface: General
* Changed the way of choosing ships in combat slots. Now they are installed directly from the ship tree.
* All combat slots are now universal and they can be fitted with ships of any class.
* Additional 4 combat slots require rank 12 with any race, not loyalty to the faction.
* Buttons “Repair”, “Autoreplenish” and the ship info frame were moved to the Shipyard screen.
* Fast repair button (displayed on top of the ship in a combat slot), now also replenishes ammunition.

Interface: Profile
* Added a medal display window to the player profile.

Sound and Music: General
* More precisely tuned sounds of explosions of heavy missiles, the sound of flight.
* Tuned sounds of heavy missiles and plasma weapons.
* Improved balance and sound effects for plasma and laser guns.
* Sounds of collisions and hits on the ice.
* Fixed bugs in the voice system.

Bug fixes
* Fixed crash when entering the game from Steam, if you have more than 100 friends.

barrel speed is how fast the circle moves (basically).

damned virus guard…it keeps poping up though i added star conflicts file to the exceptions - anyone has this problem?

if so, did you fix it? how?

With this they have ruin the H. plasma… Basically you have to stay quiet to aim with the charge of plasma and sometimes during normal fire you lose the aim. I hate this :frowning:

these things are the most liked by me, steam connect for sure too “cus more playerbase” and the new mode sounds intressting too

The reduced rate of lateral movement is way too much it makes it like I’m not in space anymore it’s so damn slow, more so in an interceptor which I would hope to have better lateral movement to zip around other ships.

yep, charge is now unusable

And not only that, with H. Plasma (not sure if this happend with other weapons) My aim point become crazy and go out and makes imposible to shoot someone…Sad very sad…

I welcome the changes to game balance. With the reduced cost of repairs people are more eager to fight more, (abiet more recklessly) and really charge forward into dogfights (as the game intended) more often with out being too penalized for dying. 

 

I have yet to be in game yet, but what the heck does “Reduced rate of lateral movement” mean? Slower strafes in the X, Y, and Z axis? Or something more?

 

Also, I hope they have accurately changed the color of the combat drones, when its red its dead. So they really got to make it yellow or something.

Hidden bonus! You can use the mouse wheel to navigate the ship tree… THANKS! I like the changes, plasma cannons will need some getting used to now. I don’t think that the change was quite needed as much as it was. Plasma cannons having a faster tracking than rail guns made sense since they are a lower damage Per Shot even if the dps was similar. This means that you lose more dps than railguns because target tracking will only allow you to hit half the time against a mobile target even if your reload rate is faster than the rails.

Rancor4 its an odd problem. Have you downloaded the game from steam, from other place?

Error posted a FAQ and there is a link to download the game, take a look and see if that is clean, here is the link

capkoko, the antivirus detection occurs when updating with the launcher, not with install binaries.

This has happened for several updates, and I know I’m not alone to detect trojans/viruses in game.exe during updates…

 

But yeah, this is very odd indeed : /

Doesn’t seem to be heuristic false positive…

Also, I’m not a big fan of ship selection with ship tree tool… I feel it’s not the right tool to do this because of too much information which are not relevant when just choosing an owned ship.

Previous dedicated tool was more readable and convienient.

 

However, keeping the possibility to select ship in tree window should be maintained.
