* Fixed a number of errors that crashed the game.

* To avoid errors during computing the ship’s behaviour, the maximum speed is now limited to 600 pts.

The speed cap is until the errors are fixed, or is it permanent? Seems to be a flagrant limitation…If a player gears only for speed he’s pretty squashy. This limitation feels like the famous invisible walls in all sorts of games. I hope it’s not permanent. And I don’t even play an interceptor

Permanent,i suppose, honestly i got tired of those 700 pts speed fed ceptors in t3.

90% of these fixes are what the community asked fore, this is perhaps the best update i have ever seen in any game i have ever played.

wp sir’s, wp

I just hope that the changes below doesnt make it take longer to get up your loyalty.I mean I get like 4K loyalty for a win in T3 and 2K for a loss, but the contracts I can repeat doesnt even give close to that. Heck I get more from a loss then I do from most of the contracts. Also you are severly limited in the contracts you can take since they have a CD plus have to fulfill specific things. So lets say that I want to get a subfaction up, why would I try to win and risk not fulfilling my contract instead of just going for what I need to do for my contract since thats what I need to get loyalty and the win/loss doesnt mather at all.

Other then that I thinkt the patch so far at least sound great. Cant wait to try it out!

To avoid errors during computing the ship’s behaviour, the maximum speed is now limited to 600 pts…Oh ,this is a bad news to high-speed Interceptors

So, when’s the server coming up?

Steam doesn’t seem to update the game? Where has the launcher gone from the game folder?

Interface: Storage

* You can now see whether items are on the ships, or are in the storage.

It would be brilliant if this could also say whether the ship is an active one or one I’m not using.

I often rip modules off the wrong ship and leave an  active one with empty slots.

A Steam restart should help to solve this issue.

Ontop not steam updating the game, i cant use my steam to login anymore (this kinda blows, i immediately forgot my login details as i connected it to steam^^)

*edit*

restarted steam and no update or steam login still

The login will work when it updates, my game just updated itself.

The maintenance isn’t over yet.

Great new features !!!

And Thanks for fixing that alt + z bug. Nice to see the dev are listening to the community.

i dont think i would call this a massive patch. maybe. but “This time we have prepared a truly massive patch for you.” might have been a bit exaggerated.

alot of needed things though! great job!

For all non-qwerty users, the alt-z bug correction is massive !!!

I will now be able to go down while going forward. This will improve massively the agility of my ships. I will be able to dogfight in an asteroid field.

Bad news Indeed, My T4 Interceptors hit 670 and my T3 hits 588. So now, I probably will NEVER play T4 ever again due to this patch. ( Also for other reasons but that’s another forum Post)

But I really Hope its not permanent, but I looks like it could, in theory, make people focus on technique instead on relying on speed to win.

but in all seriousness. just cuz it let you go almost 700 doesnt mean that was intended in the game. most weapons can’t even hit 700ms unless you are flying head on or lasers. i fly int and i know for a fact that 700+ was a bit too fast for the way the game was designed. the cap was needed. but 600 is still really fast. the extra 100 isn’t killing the ints XD
