Actually, Attack drone are dealing to me more dammages than average players just because some frigate’s weapons can’t hit them (especially the Coil Mortar and its insane Blindspot + Firing barrel Rotation)

The fact that 9/10 engineers use them makes them more xxxx.
To give you guys some perspective on the attack drone discussion, based on my logs from this patch from mostly T4 battles, engineers that did use drones were dealing on average 21.42% of their damage with them, surprisingly the engineers dealing > 100k damage in a battle did have a higher drone damage ratio of nearly 29%.
Either way, attack drones are a significant part of engineering frigate dps, lifting it to LRF levels.
I also ran the numbers on combat drones and interestingly on some high damage dealers they were often higher than those for attack drones even. But since the limited range of them makes them so very game mode and combat situation dependent it makes little sense to look at averages.

I find it hard to get kills with eclipse launcher
The Eclipse isn’t really a kill farming weapon. It’s a heal gun that also happens to do damage to enemies. Add this to the fact that it does EM dmg making it inherently weaker against hull…and by association hull tanked ships which many players also use. As if that wasn’t bad enough the weapon heating time/cooldown on the Eclipse is horrid. I’d almost say for every 30 seconds you spend firing the thing you spend 30 more waiting for it to cool off.
Lol i agree but i depend on eclipse launcher on a quick heal when i get sniped or get hit by a guided torpedo

And yes the insane overheating gets fustrating ( like in the old days with the Coil Mortar miss fires)
Got to ask the question … if you change the dynamics (DPS) to do more damage why can’t it do the same for healing ?

Mortar still misfires. It depends on the ship.
