No I don’t want eve, and i played enough eve. i am not talking about free roam or completely dynamic maps, just some deeper mechanic in the seccon.
i also would like to see some deeper mechanics in seccon. Right now, it’s completely uninteresting for me.
It’s just almost as like as normal pvp except there is friendly fire and you get goodies for capturing a sector, but there is no deeper sense of achievement when you have a sector or no deeper sense in game mechanics. It’s just a spot on the map with your logo on it and after the cycles are over, another one will grab it.

That is pretty much a definition of a Computer Game, i doubt they will deliver pizza/beer to a sector winners anytime soon

Don’t be so sure, EverQuest II used to have a /pizza command to get some pizza delivered.

In February 2005, EverQuest II began allowing players to place an order for pizza delivery from within the game, with a simple and easy command typed into the chat bar, “/pizza”.[2] This promotion has since ended, but generated significant press for the game.
Holy Bacon cheese crust!
My observation in SecCon is: Jerry-LRFs are in general useless (I know about 2 Players you have to watch out for and even those are doing better in other ships).
Still, why do they creep in so much?
Jericho LRF needs buffed so the useless players have a useful ship.
And talikng about desintagrator…I’m seeing smething weird around…3-4 times got instantly snipered in t5 without the red laser pointing a me at all…Could a player be that good…? I mean activating the desint and instantly be right on the target…? mmm…
I’ve noticed that too. It’s not often and I can’t be sure it’s a bug but you’re not the only one. I know I’ve seen it in T3, and I’m not sure about T2.

If you can’t leave the computer to pick up a phone you’re addicted.

I’ve experienced many of those in sec con, and most of the time these came from same people that consistently perform very well on Emp LRF day after day, so i tend to believe these are “no aming” offhand tachyon charged shots
Not really. The “trick” of the LRF desintegrator is to first lock the target, aiming in the space while waiting for the fire to be ready, and then insta-clic on the prediction marker, and do it again…
That’s what smart snipers do, I’ve seen it in Zerk1’s video too, like DestroyHer said, just lock on the enemy, aim somewhere else and when the shot is ready and the player confident, boom headshot, the worst thing you can do is show him the red line, they will start maneuvering to avoid the shots.

And the counter: NEVER FLY IN A STRAIGHT LINE

When I was grinding Empire LRF’s, sometimes I’d be bored and let them fly into my aim. If they were firing assault rails or lasers, all the better. Maybe it was just pilots who didn’t know any better, but I swear sometimes it seemed glitchy. How can you really file a bug report of “I didn’t see a red line before getting hit with a disintegrator” or “I’m shooting targets that aren’t pretending to avoid me”?

With a video? I can’t think of anything else.
