This patch was surprisingly good imo. Didnt expect the weapon tweaks. No more Ions from 5k range melting everything in their path.
Crits nerfed so crit positrons wont be that frecuent.
And about the Gauss⦠even though crits were nerfed, that 47% damage buff will just make me love them more.

Beam Cannon is meant to be used at medium range, which encouraged us to increase its damage and reduce firing range.
Maximum range reduced by 26%, from 4000 to 2950 m
Optimum range reduced by 26%, from 3000 to 2200 m
Weapon damage increased by 15%

Ah, a description bug. But prove me wrong. In the past, WE had to make half the patch notes out of things we found in-game. Itās true that a big amount of effort is being done to not repeat the mistakes of the past (including making complete patch notes), but that only goes so far⦠Especially now that the Frigballs are coming back.
I donāt know about anybody else but Iām noticing about 50% less synergy gained than with the old system. So far Iāve tested in T2 pvp, T3 pvp, and even T4 pve.
The worst part is in the PvE match I even had over 3k efficiency, 100+ kills and still earned about 6k less synergy than I would for doing half that with the old system

Flat reflector, R2 Fed implant + 2 horizons = 6800 range on ion.
The same setup with gauss was giving me something 7100 range, so now it should be near 8km.

Im surprised, only one of my three weapons of choice got nerfed noticeably, and it was an indirect one. Positron nerf means nothing as I use charge shots, and I was used to maybe 5k crits on it anyway.

CALLED IT! I told you. The regen, as it is, is better, overall. But I knew, the second that would be implemented, no one would fly anything other than Frigballs.

another question. Why did I get 2v2 bot game in T2 (r5 and prems) with 1100 ppl online and highest graph showing ppl in r5-6 and almost nobody past r8.

New synergy mechanics broke premium ships, too⦠free syn drop from 7k to 5k averageā¦
I still think hulltanked 3 gunship 1 engi squads will dominate.
Hopefully, this will see the end of inty spam and a focus on more balanced play.
