Q times are NOT fixed. 

 

3 man T3 squads have took anywhere from 1 minute to 12 minutes.

If you are referring to standard PvP - we haven’t reverted any settings regarding squads. There are still these options running: squads of 3+ need to have a counter-squad in a que (same size, same strength), and they cannot encounter squads of the same corporation.

I must agree that this patch is a step in the right direction. For once, I feel like the Dev team actually listened to their player base. I really like the fact that possible rank difference in PvP match has been adjusted, it was seriously taking some fun away from this game(penalizing good pilots by matching them with higher ranked ship instead of better skilled pilots)  . About the implant, I really like some the tweak in the balance. For example; Buffing Gigas II implant by 2 points while nerfing Oculus II by 2 points from 10 to 8 resistance points is a nice tweak as it will allow more build (this is a personal opinion, you may not see the game as I do) and a little punch that some T3 build needed to fight some higher ranked ship.

 

The only negative point about this patch, in my opinion, is yet another nerf to the Alpha Innibitor “Sting” now down to 20% missile speed and turn rate increased. Maybe 75% increase was too much, but was it abused or too strong in some kind of way that justified that much of a change ? Can you explain the dramatic change ?

 

Other then that, I am quite pleased with the change and Im pretty sure the 608MB patch will be worth it :yes_yes:

I don’t understand the ninja nerfs to the implants again. 

 

It primarily nerfs T4-T5 ships and the only reason that I can come up with is to give the T3 ships in sector conquest more of a chance to go up against T4-T5 without getting whacked but in the end, if you think about it, the people in T3 ships generally haven’t played as long as those who have T4-T5 ships so they’re going to get whacked regardless. 

 

It is hard to beat solid experience. 

 

You cannot nerf or buff a player’s experience at the game. If they get whacked in the big leagues then they need to take that experience and learn from it. 

Over the time there had been a couple of complains on implants beeing a too big balance issue between different Tiers.

With this patch we tried to slightly reduce these gaps between Tiers without removing them completlty.

PvP: reduced possible ship rank difference in one battle

Hmm, wonder how it was before then. Haven’t played this in a while but what I get this patch is 3v3 with 2 bots each, myself tier 3 rank 8, enemy player tier 4 rank 11, each of us with a tier 2 rank 4 and a tier 3 bot. Rank 4 to Rank 11 seems a mighty big difference for being a reduced one. (even assuming the rank 4 bots could theoretically bring up to rank 6 it would still be a big one)

my painted Spartacus and Eagle_M look really horrible now…Will i be refund of the GS i spent to paint those ships…? I think I should…don’t you?

Rapidus III received complaints about it being OP when it was introduced.  In any case, people actually have to play using the implants to see what’s OP.  It’s no surprise that sooner or later the T5 implants would be adjusted.

So far I like the Patch. 

The Implant changes are not bad and actually I like the nerf on the Rapidus III, it gives me the opportunity to check out the other Implants, so it stopped being a “must”.

 

I still hope, that you give us synergy in SQ, its still sooooo hard to find T5 matches in Arcade. I cant level those ships and leveling them with PvE is just tedious.

So i have to reply to this one.

 

A) Que times are still screwed. Completely borked actually. I play solo, in T3, 4 & 5.

 

5 is just xxxx, 45minute + wait time for normal PVP.

4 is just as bad, only 3 minutes though.

3 is not horrible but bad enough to make me not care. 10-15 minutes.

 

B) Tiers 4 & 5 all i have received have been 3v3 with bots and only 1 other human. T3 have only received 4v4’s, atleast with real people though.

 

C) Have tried SC 3 times because i’ve only been online to catch the end of 2 fighting stages, all 3 times matched against FAR superior teams, got smashed.

 

D) Only credits in SC!? WTF is wrong with you people? The people who were already strong will remain that way whilst people who weren’t won’t level.

 

F) Don’t know if patch issue or not but tonight, within the last hour the game has been laggy. I have never had lag in this game and i have always played on any server. Even your website seems buggered.

 

I’m seriously only playing PVE at the moment and that is very very very xxxx. PVE is fun every now again but i’m here to kill people. Not computers. Please fix this, please please please pretty please fix this before Saturday night!

Yes please antibus reconsider the sinergy gaining in SC. Coz i got low level T5 and levelling them up in pvp is a never ending waiting…

Excellent. I really do like this feature. We did encounter the another squad attempting to counter us. Lol. 

 

Is there any chance of putting a “forced game timer” which will force a game to play after the 5 minute mark? Either by altering the rules or just allowing randoms to get in and not wait for a squad on the other side only after that 5 minutes. 

 

I see that then we will have more games quickly and not force people to wait absurd amounts of time.

T4 & T5, i understand this and in normal PVP kind of expect it hence why i was really looking forward to the SC changes, i knew i’d be going up against all sorts of pilots and would be able to fly my prettier ships.

 

C) i understand it’s purpose, i look forward to it’s purpose, but with the rather pointless prep verse fight times i rarely get a chance to jump in, and in the 3 matches i did get into, they were 4v4’s, which is great if i’m in a coordinated squad, we can make up for our ship shortcomings with comms, but this was solo que my teams have been in all 3 matches T4 and T4 versing full T5 groups, this is not fun, if the matches had more people it wouldn’t be as bad but 4v4 just kills it.

 

D) I really hope you do, because levelling higher level ships in normal PVP takes way to long to que for with the only other option being transferring synergy and seen as you guys double dip into our wallets with that and premium ships, well, bugger that.

 

F) Righteo, hopefully it’s sorted.

Not seen much in the way of matchmaking improvements. Still have to wait about 20 minutes for a Sector Conquest match.

 

I remain skeptical as to what “improvements” the PvP matchmaking has received, seeing as last night I was taking Rank 5 ships and getting matched vs Dragonflies and Desert Eagles. That’s a 4 rank difference; the matchmaking queue insisted that I was in a queue for Ranks “5 to 8”.

 

It seems a step in the right direction, but it was a tiny step, made with reluctance, and the body language of the stepper screams of a desire to turn and bolt in the opposite direction.

 

I still hold to the belief that Sector Conquest is not going to get anywhere if it is not opened up to more people, and made part of the leveling system. Players need to be earning synergy when flying Sector Conquest.

 

Edit: Oh yeah… why do the preset colour schemes include colours that we can’t buy individually? This should be rectified!

And what’s up with 4-man t3 squad fighting in t3 while even solo t3 queue will sometimes pit you against t4

Was that part of the improvements?

It is good to see changes are being made in the right direction but it also causes some new issues. I had for the first time a PvP/Arcade match last night with bots in T2 !

it was a 3vs3 and one bot on each side. The game before and after was fine, no bot a a lot more players.

Been testing a shield tanked fed guard today, in the hands of a decent player shield tanking is doable. However, i think im gonna use imperial commands instead of jerry ones from now on

The main advantage off shield over hull is that with shield tank your main tank recharges over time and hull don’t.

So hull have better resistances to compensate that. That has being the norm in space games since forever.

The problem with that seems to be that Engineers are a dying breed, replaced increasingly by Coral Snakes - ships that look like Engineers but have none of their abilities.

Some people complained that the color pattern they bought with gold was altered with the last patch, but I have just noticed that Templar AE and Ira Deus don’t have the same standard colors that before patch.

While unpainted most of the ships appear to be the same, if you go into the customization options you’ll start to see almost every ship now has a digital camouflage pattern.  This certainly ruined any painting options I had for a number of ships…though to be fair I think the Naga actually looks better with the new camo pattern.
