The mixing of realistic and arcade modes is not good. I don’t have the interceptors or the extra ship slot to support realistic mode, and now I don’t have the choice to avoid it.
Also, it looks like missile costs are being improperly calculated. I fired a minefield and an octopus and got charged 35k.

Yeah, having Realistic Domination matches hurts whoever brought 1-2 ships, favouring whoever brought 4.

It doesn’t get truly sad until matchmaking succeeds though. Then you have 5 minutes of killing off newbies on both sides and then a 4v4 standoff for remaining 7-10 minutes where neither side will make any moves to leave the rocks it hides behind. Because the first one to attack loses.
You know what is sad? Detonation match - at 8 minutes left we lost 2 stations, enemies had all 3
since then they had the bombs in their hands AND DID NOTHING.
I reported all their asses for that ********.

Our beacon wasnt even xxxx defended! I was sitting on top ofit and that was it! They never even tried to plant it!
and killing the bomb carriers wasnt possible either because those were guards with engineers and command ships everywhere.
It ended in an obvious loss.

That has been the norm for months now for some squads. Was this the first time you saw this done? A couple of known frigball-only squads start the match by grabbing both bombs by warpgating to them, then just pull out and turtle near their spawn. That’s with three stations alive on both sides. It’s a legit tactical approach according to devs.
Not first time, but this is the first time i’ve seen em take them that early and hold them both.
at 3 minutes or so ive seen it happen with 1 station left on both sides, never in this scenario…

Everything is unkillable now for solo attackers pretty much. I spent ~30 seconds pumping my purple RFP from my ECM (10% weapon damage empire bonus, 10% damage pulse discharger) into a command fighter that completely ignored me while shooting stabs at our engineer, not moving at all. I had 100% hit rate, he never even bothered to activate diffusion shield. His shield bar would go slightly down every time plasma hit him (about 5 times per second) and immediately bounce back to full.
It would have been hilarious if it wasn’t so profoundly sad.
RFP is hilariously bad. Use a real weapon system 
the DPS from that system is so bad it doesnt even count as testing ground.

- On the only Domination match I was in, 4 people brought ONE ship. They instantly died on the FIRST Beacon we attacked and went “WHY CAN’T I RESPAWN???” and immediately disconnected…
…We lost because my team seemed to be comprised of full blown xxxx (no, sorry, that’s not the correct term, it’s “mentally challenged”, my apologies) that kept suiciding themselves at the hands of the enemy superior T3 team…
…I ended up in 3rd and still half my team was scattered halfway across the map. “Take B beacon.” “nope, I’ll just go to C and set us up for the next one.” “Dude, B just spawned, what’re you doing!?” “We’re taking C, man, relax” “… *facepalm*”

Lol, this is fun to read. Sounds like you want a matchmaking system for skill, not just for tier only and i agree with you, but they dont got the playerbase for that.
They sould add 3 ships only in realistic on a side note.
Did I miss something? Why was Arcade pvp taken out in favor of forcing us to do Sector conquest?
The whole reason we played arcade is because there was there was far less stacking than in conquest. I recently switched to Jericho contracts and playing sector conquest gives me the same opponents who are 500+ rating above the team I am playing with. I do not think that you have the player base yet to match make based on factions because it limits the pool of players you can use to form teams (if you want to do it in a reasonable time) and results in far more one sided games.
Bring back Arcade please.
One of us have the wrong idea of sector conquest. I belived arcade was drawn from the same playerpool as sectorconquest and therefore were identical.
Realistic should only let you spawn 3 ships, whatever 3 of the 4 you want
once you die in your third ship, it should just treat you like you used all your ships
You dident say anything about the fact that jericho have more shield strenght than federation, which is very important for guards.
I agree that this should be changed though.
At T3, it is 3k more shield for Jericho. Fed Guards already were able to get 10 EHP more then the equivalent setup in Jericho, so they already had offsetting advantages. Now it just gets worse.

I figured that there would be a lot of hate because of the implemented realistic-mode in sector conquest.
I dont know… give it a chance, it can be fun! Maybe learn to adapt?
On a positive note: I like the health bar of my squadmates. It helps a lot. So: Good Job!

so, this game is dead…
i cant play with my friend(s)…i am on vanguard/ fed rank 5 and he is on wardens/ emp rank 4…he has vanguard already on rank 6 so he doesnt want to pay the “fee” for the contract to switch to the same faction as i am and i understand that obviously…to mention we are both federation in general (+5%, +5%? hull and shield)…
first of all i thought it was a bug, like “ERROR” said but it seems it isnt…tested it about 20 times…there is no way a can play with him…the error in the chatwindow said one of us is playing for the wrong race…
with my other college on same contract like me i had no problems at all…
i still hope its a bug or it will be changed soon because this is f***** up…bring back old arcade for small squads like me and my friends and the other people who dont want to play this game 12h a day…for me it looks like u force people to join the big corbs…
i am so angry right now because i invested real money for a t3 premium ship to save the rediculous repair-costs AND sometimes they are higher now because u have to play realistic-mode…another game-breaker in my opinion…
another thing: i tried to create a custom pve lobby but i cant invite my friend to custom battle…why? he just doenst get any invite or something else… plz dont tell me we have to switch to same contracts for pve? otherwise i have to laugh and “cry” at the same time…
i still hope to wake up and say to myself: “why would anybody want to destroy such a nice game like that?”
