well I held off on writing my Review on a new First Look on Star-Conflict.com waiting for a response. Well we Have a response. Simply put they do not care what the paying customers have to offer. I was hoping for a better response so I could live stream the new patch and to help you get a more positive customer base. I am sorry until you start listening to your customer base my reviews to the popular rating sites for mmo’s will be a 3 out of 10. I know of another company developing a game like this one that will be open beta with in 2 months and I have been an Alpha Tester on. This is truly sad this game had so much potential now it will drift away like all the rest. Good luck in the future.
Would you be able to pm me the name of this game?
You’re right there mate, its painfully obvious that someone somewhere in the decision making chain just wants more money and doesn’t give a rats xxxx about the people who play this game. With the new loot system, its confirmed it.
Then again, sometimes I wonder if I can blame them? A lot of the community on SC is or was a bunch of effing obnoxious and pretentious F2P gamers that expect everything for free and to be how they want despite contributing nothing but badly thought out complaints. (I’m not saying that every F2P player is, but, if I offended you by what I said then there’s your answer.)
But it still pisses me off, because there are people out there like myself who have put £30 or more into the game, which is relative to how much you’d usually pay for a fully unlocked PC game!
It isn’t fair that paid players are getting the raw end of the stick like this, F2P players I can understand, but even them you do not want to piss off, they are potential customers and a player base to keep the game fluent for everyone.
The game even has a frigging pseudo-subscription service - licence!!
Star conflict has SO much more potential , it is easily my space-game dog fighter of choice for the gameplay value, but grotesque changes like, removing galactic standards from 5th day reward and adding a loot system that siphons your galactic standards into a “gold sink” is just down right cheeky and pisses me off.
I honestly don’t believe the current development team and or publisher have their players at the top of their priority list. What kind of rational level headed person would think that showing people loot and giving them 1/10 chance to receive it, 3/10 if you pay, would make anybody happy? In a 2 hour gaming sesh yesterday, I saw 3 or 4 purples and got none, I even did the 30% one once with my galactic scraps.
I would much rather just not see the loot until I am entitled to looting it, its tormenting.
Oh and its the same in PVE on the purple dot, 1/10 or 3/10.
Honestly, if things continue down this path, once Star Citizen comes out (or anything on par with Star Conflict minus the constant wallet-pilfering stratagems), Star Conflict won’t even be my go-to game for quick dog fighting fun in the future. Not because I found the game boring, but out of principle.
Finally, I actually really like the patch for the most part, even the camera angles - because before, people got too much view. Frigates, if you don’t like pilots going into your blind spot, hug an asteroid and stick close to team mates. Try using ctrl too. Tbh, the game is asking for a little bit more skill from people and situational awareness oh yeah, and teamwork!
:edit: I apologise that this is mostly rant, but it is what it is and I feel I’m pointing out what I see.
