  1. Good, first the em field fix, and now this. After the PvP nerf in invasion do you really think they will allow you to farm all the time alone and get the best income ever?

 

  1. Since you don’t have to worry about PvP people in high reward sectors, mobs need to be stronger.

  1. Firstly, that was a horrible mistake, removing PvP from high reward sectors. It turns the game into another boring PvE scenario. Second, mobs are a bit too strong now. PREY went to the captured dreadnought sector with 8 pilots to see what we could farm, and we had to _ retreat _ because we were attracting the attention of no less than 3 pirate patrols, 1 to 2 biomorph patrols, and a police patrol (some of our guys were very unlucky with their AOE attacks).

 

You are correct, you can’t solo farm anymore. But if you can’t farm in a wing? That’s a bit too much.

So far, it seems that the contracts where you have to do something AND win 2 games don’t work. The contracts of legion for surviving and killing enemies and winning don’t work also.

 

Edit: Anything that needs 2 battles is not working… at least for me.

No, they changed it. 8k used to be the base amount.

nice update, but i haven’t heard anything about guards…like fixing the pulsar or so

 

 

Apparently (IIN); the last patch changed nothing for the guards. (And I laughed): (Sacarsm on)

  • It changed nothing to the guard’s positionning
  • It changed nothing for Jericho Guards in Invasion
  • It changed nothing in terms of Objectives play-ability (because doing all the job on a beacon and get nothing cause you are fat and ppl only hit you is fair)
  • It changed nothing in terms of Implants use and Implants snowball
  • It changed nothing in the Damage output / Repellent effect / Defensive mechanics
  • The pulsar is absolutly not bugged (aka Pulsar that turn off alone when you don’t have any energy while it’s already consuming between 280 and 400 energy points)
  • Because ‘Guard’

No information about Guards tweaks.

 

I’m still waiting for my Guards Pulsar to work as before last weeks patch too… My understanding is that the only change was that ECM’s Ion defuiser module can turn it off… that is not the case, often when pressed, the pulsar does nothing, no hit to enemy in range, no hit animation around my ship, nothing… oh except it uses energy and goes into cooldown…

For those of you that think the contract thing has made it easier to get vouchers I disagree. From flying today I have noticed it takes LONGER to get loyalty than it used to because most contracts require multiple wins. All you do is get to complete a few of the little ones at the same time.

 

You do not need to anticipate which contracts to choose for your next game. Since not all contracts work on all gamemodes, until now you had to have the right contracts activated to even being able to finish them. This is a huge impact in itself.

 

True, some contracts are buggy (I guess that is just temporary), and others need more effort now to fullfill, but this only means, acquiring contracts for one specific faction needs longer.

 

If you however cycle factions for contracting, you are not just increasing the chances of finishing multiple contracts at once, but also finish the bulk of them faster per faction, since you can increase your “luck” which contracts you finish with each faction change.

 

The limit of how much you can acquire per day is still regulated by the cooldown of the contracts. However if you cycle factions every 3 battles or so, and make 1-5 contracts per battle, it’s still at least like 18 battles until you have to specificly target the remaining open contracts again.

Until now, if you wanted to do most contracts, it was at least 4 battles per faction, if you wanted to finish all of them once, at least 5, leading to 30 battles at least. Also you had to choose between “finishing more contracts” by taking 1&8 every time, or “finishing the juicy contracts” first.

 

I think for the majority of players, this means, a lot more loyalty if you play daily.

 

Also after witnessing my numbers rise since the patch, I cannot confirm, that it’s slower or the same speed, it’s definitely faster. But it’s slower if you want vouchers for one particular faction only.

 

To me this new system feels so natural, it seems it should always have been this way, anyway.

Can we maybe get an official statement as to what Invasion is for? It seems to me that the changes to it are all over the place and there is no central focus to speak of.

Now more than ever, this game mode feels like it needs to be split into factions. If you’re in Faction space, everyone is an ally (unless they turn protection off). Then leave neutral space for the no-rules PvP. Short of a rollback to the previous AI behaviours and spawn rates, I don’t see Invasion working any other way.

Faction warfare would be nice, but the problem is that monocrystals can be farmed in each station every day. If we make faction warfare, it will be very, very hard to do that, since you won’t be able to reach the other faction’s homebases.

 

But for the game point of view, it will be very fun. If you stay in your faction space, then you can fight vs mobs with help of your own faction, but guys from other factions can be raiding and killing you. Also, that way potential killer will be already marked.

Invasion is primarily PVE and primarily solo, that’s how most people play it and it works fine for them. That’s also why it’s so boring.

PS: Despite your constant complaining it is easy to take on biomorphs solo. Craft yourself some attack drones, get a proper ship for the job or even just watch your positioning and timing and there is no problem. Pirates are ten times more dangerous than biomorphs.

E.g. capture 10 beacons for a meager 2500 vouchers, earn 1500 efficiency in 5 battles for 3500 vouchers, or win 6 battles for 4000. It’s a massive nerf overall.

so they made another contract patch today?

 

 

I use to do 12k,10k,8k,5k contracts… I needed 2-4games to finish them(depend on teammates and win ratio)

now… to get that ~30k vouchers I need ~10games…

yep. Game went from insanely grindy to completely over the top you must be out of your minds grindy.
