Just bought a 34 inch monitor so I decided to upload a video of Star Conflict in 21:9 3440x1440 resolution if anyone wonder what that may look like I think with ultra-wide screen you can see more on the sides?

Notice how the edge are greatly curved I don’t think SC support high FOV range :B I have free 30 day return policy on it so I may swap it with a 4k or 27 inch 1440p one next month.
Also I want to do a test with another player that has 1920x1080 resolution to compare the views.

It’s pretty horrible to play like that actually. That if you want to be competitive. Otherwise, for a stroll through space to stare at stars, it’s… almost fine. The fisheye effect is too strong.
Personal experience.
Just a n00b question, why is my video avaliable in 2160p which is 4k when my monitor is only 1440p? I saw other 3440x1440 videos on youtube are also in 2160p resolution :S My Oculus Rift arrives in 2 weeks so I will upload a Star Conflict video in VR at that time

Maybe for the same reason 720p is considered ‘HD’ even on 1080p screens i guess…
