Star Conflict doesn't close its process

1. When i close Star Conflict, some times there is still a star conflict process in the background.

12 - If i then launch it via steam i get the message “app is already running” and i have to kill it manually via eg. a task manager

13 - This process takes the same amount of memory as having the game open.

It is not a serious problem for me as i know how to close the process, but might be for others or on steamOS

I have not attached any game logs, as it happens independently of my session, but if you need them i can forge some :stuck_out_tongue:

It could be a problem with my system, but i don’t know. Need other pilots to confirm

I also have this problem on my dell venue 11 tablet.

luckily, I can stop the process by exiting the entire steam application to automatically close everything star conflict.

that being said, sometimes the problem persists, and it won’t open unless I restart the device.

perhaps it’s a firewall, or another program interfering with the over-all processes?

anywho…

I think the answers to one of those questions could be:

_"_In contrast to Microsoft Windows, an Ubuntu desktop does not need a firewall to be safe on the Internet, since by default Ubuntu does not open ports that can introduce security issues."  - http://askubuntu.com/questions/22667/why-is-the-firewall-disabled-by-default

same here on Linux Mint

running a 3.13 kernel with KDE 4.13

not a big problem but sometimes a bit annoying
