Pilots! In these troubled but happy days United Mercenary Centre turns 5 years old, and we are very happy to celebrate the anniversary together with you! We thank you for these years, filled with amazing events and exciting stories of space battles. Without you, pilots, we would not have survived in a desperate battle with Aliens. Without you we would not have created exciting new ships and technologies. Without you space and fringe sectors would have remained a lifeless dead space. It’s only fair to celebrate together! Our game universe has turned 5 years old, and we are very happy to celebrate the anniversary together with you! Five years is a long time. Let’s recall what happened in the universe of the game during that time.

You can get the stickers and festive colouring scheme by completing special Broker tasks during the festivities. The tasks will be available for a limited time.
You can also get all the stickers and festive colouring scheme in a special container-bundle. To do this you need to open the ‘Bundles’ tab and select ‘Anniversary’.

New titles
We have prepared new unique titles for all pilots to celebrate the anniversary. The titles you can get depend on the year you first logged into the game.

    If you first logged into the game in 2012, you will receive the ‘Precursor’ title and all the titles below it
    If you first logged into the game in 2013, you will receive the ‘Advisor’ title and all the titles below it
    If you first logged into the game in 2014, you will receive the ‘Guardian’ title and all the titles below it
    If you first logged into the game in 2015, you will receive the ‘Strategist’ title and all the titles below it
    If you first entered the game in 2016 you will receive the title and the achievement of “Rink” and all below
    If you first logged into the game in 2017, you will receive the ‘Hopeful’

Targem Games turns 15! Happy anniversary!

These are also the days when the videogame developer Targem Games, whose branches include Star Conflict developers Star Gem Inc., celebrates its 15th anniversary. In 2002, a small circle of like-minded people united by the idea of making videogames formed a company that has become the largest developer in the Urals region in Russia. We wish the company new heights and new games! Happy anniversary!

During the festive events all pilots will be able to get a unique sticker:

You can get the stickers and festive colouring scheme by completing special Broker tasks during the festivities. The tasks will be available for a limited time.

You can also get a discount for the Broker’s missions.

Squads and Wings

Playing in a squad or a wing offers additional tactical possibilities in battle. It adds entertainment, pilots get more impressions from battles and they can use new and unexpected tactics. From now on forming a squad or a wing of pilots is going to be easier. You don’t have to wait for a Squad invitation, and look for a suitable group yourself. And you can also open mass recruitment for your Squad or Wing.

New Squad recruitment system
    The group leader can make it open by creating a public invitation to the group
        A solo pilot can also create a public invitation. Then he becomes the group leader
        The group leader can not apply for other groups
    The invitation specifies the task for which the group is created, and the minimum ship rank
    The invitation is valid until the group goes into battle or disbands
    Any pilot can respond to the invitation to apply for membership in the group
        Pilots can submit any number of applications at the same time
    Applications are not time-limited
        Applications are cancelled if the pilot joins any group
        Applications are cancelled if the pilot creates his own group or invitation
    The leader can accept or reject the application of any pilot
        The pilot, whose application was rejected, no longer sees the same invitation
        The pilot who was expelled from the group, does not see the invitations from this group
        The pilot who was expelled from the group may join it again the usual way via a personal invitation

Missions

Ellydium corporation contracts
Dr. Conrad Dimeni has prepared new special tasks ‘Teamwork’ for pilots in squads. Completion reward — 30 xenocrystals! New contracts are refreshed every week.

Rewards
Special container ‘Manufacturing pack’ obtained as a reward for ‘Teamwork’ missions now has a rare chance of yielding xenocrystals instead of Dart and Gargoyle ship components.

Changes in the mission system
‘Alien Technology’ missions can be refreshed once a day. Refresh timers are shared for missions in the open space and ‘Alien Tech’ contracts. The next contract will be available for execution 6 hours after accepting the previous one.
Faction loyalty contracts and ‘Teamwork’ missions are now completed on ships of the maximum available rank of the chosen sides of conflict. This ship must must be in a combat slot, but you don’t have to use it in combat

Ships
According to analysis of statistical data received from the pilots, we decided to amend important technical parameters of some ships:

Destroyers
We continue to analyze battles with destroyers and based on analysis of statistical data, we decided to make the following changes to improve combat balance with destroyers: 
    A ship that gets any closer than 750m to a destroyer, inflicts triple damage to its shield, hull, and modules 
    Reduced damage done to destroyers on destruction of engines, special and active modules 

Procyon
    Bonus to rotation speed reduced from 15% to 7%
Antares
    Bonus to rotation speed reduced from 15% to 7%
Sirius
    Bonus to rotation speed reduced from 15% to 7%

Thar’Ga
Battle analysis of pilots with ‘Ellydium’ ships in their fleets showed the need to change the parameters of ‘Thar’ga’, as well as weapons and modules created with Alien technology:
Reduced growth of hull and shields after rank 12
Weakened nodes responsible for hull and shields at higher ranks:
    Reduced rank 15 shield boost from 15% to 10%
    Reduced rank 15 hull reinforcement from 15% to 10%
    Reduced rank 13 hull sealing from 800 pts. to 600 pts.
    Reduced rank 11 shield boost from 800 pts. to 600 pts.
    Reduced rank 9 hull reinforcement from 17% to 15%
    Reduced rank 7 shield boost from 17% to 15%

‘Thar’kth’ Cannon
    No longer deals double damage to destroyers
     Slightly increased minimum projectile spread from 2.5 to 6.5 deg.
    Slightly reduced additional charge accumulation from 25% to 15% 
‘Thar’Ga’tok’ Launcher
    No longer deals double damage to destroyers
    Reduced projectile speed by 8%
Special module ‘Combat reconstructor’
    Reduced duration from 8 to 6.5
    Increased module activation cost by 20%

Hull Modifier "Matter absorber"
    Reduced duration from 10 to 4 
    Incresed hull repair by 100% per second
Shield Modifier "Combat shield regenerator"
    Reduced shield regeneration speed by 10%

Weapons

There has been a major update of ship weapon models. Now all weapons models are more detailed and better match their characteristics.

Battle analysis also showed that several weapons required parameter tweaks. This will enable more balanced fighting.

Thermoactive weapon
    Rate of fire increased by 5%
Meson Cannon
    Damage increased by 7%
‘Halo’ launcher
    Damage increased by 10%
    Time to overheat increased by 33%
Shrapnel Cannon
    Reduced spread from 4.5 to 3.5 deg.
‘Iridium SLugs’ ammunition
    Now reduce spread of kinetic guns by 35%

Modules
In order to further improve combat balance the following changes were made to parameters of active modules:

Special modules
    Special module ‘Matter absorber’ was renamed to ‘Combat reconstructor’
Empire energy router
    Speed bonus reduced from 45% to 20%
Federation energy router
    Speed bonus reduced from 60% to 30%
Jericho energy router
    Speed bonus reduced from 45% to 20%
Spatial stabilizer
    Bonus to damage in a fixed position reduced from 80% to 50%

Miscellaneous
Trophies
    You can now collect trophies after losing in ‘Skirmish’ and ‘Co-op vs. AI’
Interface
    Item production window is now summoned with a single click
    When improving module, you can now press Enter to upgrade it
    Now the size of the window depends on the number of upgrades
    Improved camera behaviour in Hangar
Other
    Improved the look of some weapons
    Now a ship’s production settings are not reset when manufacturing its parts
    Improved layout of stickers on Gargoyle
    Improved layout of weapons on a number of ships
    Voice chat is now enabled by default
    ‘Prospector probe’ now replaces additional devices Autonomous Probe and Research Probe
    The number of destroyers in teams in the ‘Skirmish (PvP)’ game mode is now unlimited.

Pilots! The hotfix has been uploaded to our servers. It includes:

Сontracts

Conditions in ‘Teamwork: squad’ contracts have been significantly simplified. Now you need to bring down 150 destroyers or 200 other ships. Every pilot randomly gets a contract condition from a list.

Added contract ‘Teamwork: destruction’:

 

●     Destroy or help destroy 10 ships, while in a squad

●     Reward: 1 xenocrystal

●     The contract is re-issued in two hours from the time you accept one

 

Thar’ga

Special module ‘Combat reconstructor’ now uses 75% of the damage taken for recovery

Durability recovery effectiveness for ‘Matter absorber’ reduced by 5%

‘Crystal Hunger’ special module effectiveness reduced by 7%

 

Destroyers

A ship that gets any closer than 750m to a destroyer, inflicts 2.5x damage to its shield, hull, and modules instead of 3x
