You already know what I meant. If not, then I meant to say capacity (maximum shield  and hull capacity).

“Volume tank” is not a tank, it is like wrapping itself into wet toilet paper, and then imagining that you are a heavy armored unit.

Fight. Don’t submit. Don’t bend over for them. It’s not fair that they can have an agent of mis-direction on top of all the other garbage they put us through.

I encountered a Tormentor that hit me for 70k damage against my Sibyl.

So in case you can’t take that and think about what if it hit another guard… it could guarantee an insta-kill against a Capacity tank guard and drop the shields on any Jerry guard.

 

So overall the buff was good on paper and bat-sh*t crazy in practice.

 

Sibyl got 70k dmg from a single shot? Anomaly does around 28k basic, double damage for destroyer - 56k, still 25% missing, so it means your Sibyl had to have -25 EM resistance. In battlefield where primary armament of enemy destroyers consist of EM dealers (Halo, Photon launcher). There are 2 options - you have no resists on your Sibyl (fix it), or you were hit multiple times with Photons and then anomaly.

 

I don’t remember what explosive damage multiplayer is for frigs, but I think it was 1.5, so for any decent guard with at least 100 resists it would do up to 21k dmg.

In my corp there are many voices against the lenses. And from the pulling effect: I can agree with them.

It’s annoying that those exist. Either they ‘trap’ you(as friend) or you have an anti-fly protection(cast next to yourself/wall/whatever and the poor intie die fast without even the chance to fight/avoid it(no LoS which make it effective behind a wall/beacon/your hull).

This is something which make R11 destroyer annoying and unbalanced(bypassing shield with up to 15k hulldamage = mostly instadeath for someone trapped). Even anomaly isn’t so annoying(to OS a frigate it have to stay open, don’t fly to fast/redirect and a bit damaged/low on resists/points). Inties are normally not a target and if you can hit them - well deserved. Fighters too.

Again my balance tweaks: Take out(or remove the damage part first) lenses, the destroyer module %-damage based on total hull instead of x-damage currently(as said you can fairly easy tank those low numbers) and penalize more fed/jericho as imperial destroyers. Then we can see if those remain invincible flying bricks of doom and death and pain.

Take ECM, fly to destroyer, when he activate the lens close to him, hack it. Black hole will suck the destroyer usually killing it.

It would be nice if everyone could master the active modules, or at least, some basics around them and after that post viable critics. These walls of text won’t help the devs improve the game, be cooperative, be concise.

whining about others, or whining about whining itself is pretty common in these threads like forever. And why should it change?

 

It always ends up in a show of people trying to seem yet even more cool, more mature, more look-at-me-not-caring or more smartaßi.

And some even provoke this, intentionally. I don’t even say I am exception to such behaviour, oviously, I don’t think anyone is.

You could see this paragraph as wanting to sound mature, e.g. Or your own post.

Not to speak about personal feuds and emotions all over the place. Even inside corps, there can be hidden tensions.

 

So you can complain, or actually change things, really. You or anyone. Like meta posts, summarizing ideas. I saw a couple of those. They are truly awesome. Wasn’t that even you?

But it’s an effort, you know, and over time, nobody wants that being in vane…

 

Some ppl are afraid or too tired or even too enraged (!) to post, when they see whats going on, if lobbyists pick you apart for saying something is a problem, which in their world, is not. How could you?!

Ppl not talking up anymore, can also mean, they just left or gave up. Most of them dont open threads about it.

And some explode. Often for a last time.

u still gotta keep in mind, all ppl writing did an effort. it’s worse if there is none. It’s a tiny mental step from being just, to become judgmental.

 

Yeh, summary of my stuff, all my stuff really.

 * patch changed effectively little, content was okay, best was the ninja patch of destro weapon, most cons was what was not coming along…

 * would love to see what corp mates and friends are doing again

 * would love to see more frequent, but less multifactor changes (so first balance destros, then do e.g. guards)

 * would love to see chances of special loot in pvp, as long as the content unlockable is related to pvp. pvp could be nonstop fun!

 * make gravi lense unable to kill by itself, damage caster, best solution; maybe only deliver kill-damage if shield is 0. There are reasons why i dont see percentual as a nerf - except maybe percentual from current hp, which is effectively the same as no-kill. nor do i want destros now be nerfed to oblivion, by making the module totally useless either.

 * no destro max per battle, rather redo match mechanics / point system - if - or balance them in;

 * nerf the destro shields (the barriers) somehow to small ships (but keep it effective in destro vs. destro)

 

and i dont need to come back for months, if i add these, just to make some people more happy by typing more code instead of words:

 * would love to see 4squads in t5 again. a general change of pace to educate and favor team play. no preassumptive ideas like “teams are stronger because they got teamspeak” kind of reasoning. rather make people team up, help them overcome social barriers. games teach. learning is playing. ask science.

 * i rather see honest and informative stuff in news, than 80-style PR. Doesnt work so well internationally.

 * just coz a problem doesnt show up anymore on the radar, its not solved. this is a constant source of whining on this thread.

 * fixing abuse by locking down an abused function should be followed up by fixing the abusability and unlocking again asap; so far the locking part works really neat. then its some sort of alzheimers kicking in for years (e.g. corp vs. corp squads, the forever GS ships MM-1 rule, or recently things like league team building, aand “In Game”.)

 * don’t add more grind to the queue, rather add options. seasoned players will play even if they have no carrots. and they will leave if you dont, taking lots of players with them.

General summary/opinions on 1.3.3. updates by random players so far:

 

Pros:

 

-Shield Havoc non-exclusive module

-Recon cooldown

-Destructor and some passive modules changes

-PvE/OS Active module buffs

-League titles

-Salvage info

-AI tweaks (some issues still remain in detonation mode with picking up the bomb)

-Matchmaker tweaks

-Halo tweaks (fast paced shooter began to be a slow stand-off before the tweak)

-Anomaly/firestorm buffs

 

Cons:

 

-Destroyer overkill domination still in effect (destroyerballs, gravi spam, large number of active destroyers in a battle)

-Still no squadding options (mostly preferred in higher tiers)

-200GS alien ammo is expensive per battle

-Ranked rewards for “Veterans” (25-50% of what new players get would be nice to make them feel at least a bit appreciated)

-Matchmaker still has some minor loopholes

-Other ship classes still seem a bit too much inferior to destroyers

-Special operation/SpecOps issues for premade wings, connection drops etc

 

Player recommendations:

 

-Restrictions/limits/balancing, of any kind, on destroyers (small scale, one life per destroyer mostly, 3-4 per game)

-Changes necessary in open space regarding the loot drops (too much 100cr and (small) credits in general, loot specific drops wanted)

-Changes necessary in bundles towards more secure material drops since it’s about real money

-Changes necessary in gravitation lens module (common suggestion: first shield then hull and dmg should be in % of ship max hp points)

-Asymmetrical matchmaker is wanted by a lot of players with some extra rules for destroyers (limits)

-Optional changes in current base stats on guard frigates 

-Changes in forum discussion needed for flaming and spamming

-Changes in pvp looting since it’s the most played mode, higher chance of getting something more valuable than iridium or upgrade kits mk2

-General change of pace to educate and favor team play

 

Individual opinions/post I quoted that are aimed for players and devs equally, posts that matter in their own specific way and post that I consider should be heard and somewhat respected.

I also agree with the fact that people haven’t learnt at all how to deal with them. I played exclusively T3 yesterday and what i noticed is somewhat appalling:

  • multiple beacon games with destros in both teams, many times outnumbered by the enemy team

  • destros are slow > logic > get fast ships and run for beacons while they’re busy in the middle of the map

  • people were going to fight the destros across the map, nowhere near the beacons like ‘oh look free candy!’ only to die horribly to 5x destro pyro emitter spam

They did this in every single game. Then we see forum complaints that have nothing to do with balance and other logical things.

People somehow formed a mentality that killing the enemy team’s destros brings them a win or something. -astraal


I know that this isn’t exactly tied to this update 1.3.3 discussion, but you would actually get more money/income, if you would just do one thing!

Bundles in the Shop should contain GUARANTEED DROPS and not POSSIBLE DROPS! -koromac

I guess lots of people like the no skill, auto aim, massive damage big ships. But is this really the direction you want this game to evolve?

You basically are making a game like fractured space only with less good graphics and less pvp. Stick to your own genre. -erador


The amount of “demands” coming from enormously smaller EN community is tenfold bigger than what comes from RU,

of course people want stuff for free, but this is getting ridiculous around here,

every second “suggestion” is damn “i want it, hence it is good, gime it naw, and don’t comment if you disagree” -katovskiy
