Please instead of focussing so much on destroyers, would care you to explain wtf this is and why there was no mention in the patchnotes? Also why the drastic change to matchmaker without notifying anyone? Rank 10s now play against rank 13s all the time which is BS, and rank 9s play against rank 5s which is quite frankly ridiculous - I have posted a bug report about this second one.

Seriously I wish there wasn’t so much hype about destroyers and people would focus on more important things like this.

Since they keep toying around with the numbers, and the length of the event, how many we could make from event materials is not known. I based past numbers on them maintaining what they had been doing, and each phase being the same length, now they are shortening the events, and reducing the average daily volume of materials by the looks of it, I trust you can figure out what that means. I have no idea where this do PvP once every five days thing is coming from, I’m getting daily PvP missions, nothing seems to suggest I can elect to do them in batches, also both now need to be done in PvP, you can’t do either in co-op any more, I tried. Then if you’re saying farm them, now, during this event, then I’m sorry, but I have a life outside of the game, and can’t spend all my waking hours doing that. The “no PvP skills needed” part is something I’ve said before too, as well as how it takes virtually zero effort to do the event tasks, in response to how it’s being done this way as we supposedly need to put forth effort, then suggested tasks that would actually require effort. Especially as so many are so focused on blowing up any destroyers in a match, not the function of the match, if you were to focus on the PvP task, you could in some types easily triple, or so the next highest contribution value, on either team, and practically single handedly win the round for your team, I just did that yesterday, still wasn’t fun for me.

 

Not giving out the info on the destroyers, or gains in advance, and constantly pushing the idea of how they’ll be gone soon, to return at some unknown date gets people to purchase cash shop packs. People would get almost enough from the event, then think about how long it could be till it comes back, how that might be the best R14 destroyer, so figure they’ll make the difference with cash shop packs, as such people are addicts. They’ve been steadily reducing the amount of stuff given to players over the years, early on, we could get credits, synergy, parts, even cash shop currency, just from logging on each day, now we get a random three hour booster, or maybe a little bit of synergy, or one out of 400, or so of the parts needed to make a ship. Don’t act like them giving the volume of materials they are, in the manner they are, was done for our benefit.

You wanted Tyrant so you didn’t build airbus right? So to have a lot of electrum right ? Then you have enough electrum. 

 

If you build Sirius, then you have an r14, and can use it to farm the missing electrum. 

200 missing electrum is just about 10 a day. It not that much.

If you want it, then earn it.“You can”  doesn’t mean everybody will be able to. 

Farm for it if you want it that badly. 

Free, if you ignore all the other required materials, and credits.

 

That 500 number was a guess, don’t take it for fact. Then not everyone has the time to grind out the remaining parts, especially in this span of time, probably most don’t have that kind of time actually. I also freakn’ hate that whole fly a max synergy ship BS, it’s fine if you already have them all, and have them all maxed, otherwise it just feels like a waste to people like me that have ships that could actually use the synergy. I’d rather farm OS, but of course Elec isn’t in OS yet apparently, even though it was put in the post mission search table, if you’re flying a max synergy ship.

 

I’m not saying give me all three, and I’d imagine most others aren’t either. I, and likely many/most others would be much happier if they put them all out at once, didn’t remove them for an undisclosed period of time afterwards, didn’t push the whole “MAKE IT NOW!!!” thing, then only gave enough materials to make one, and change, from an event that lasted about a third as long, and didn’t have these silly extra limiter parts tossed in to prevent people from making them sooner, all like in other destroyer release events. Add in the removal of these sudden surprises that pissed a lot of people off, and putting the new material in OS, plus finally changing up the mission structure, so it’s not just a rehashed version of the last two destroyer release events, and it’d be a much better event than it is.

Seriously I wish there wasn’t so much hype about destroyers and people would focus on more important things like this.

The changes were likely part of their get more rounds going faster push. Like before this patch, I kept getting 2v2, or 3v3 PvP rounds, and may have waited five minutes just for that, it would explain why after the patch I was getting much larger rounds, in less time. That also suggests a distinct lack of people doing PvP, while PvE, and co-op still seem to be moving along fine.

 

Then with destroyers being shoved in our faces constantly, it’s hard not to focus on them.

Regarding the patch - MatchMaker is currently matching first level of R5 ships against elite R9s and destroyers. Is it intended?

So in the last post you announced that you were done with this forum, yet yours was the first post after mine, made within about an hour of my post, you’re pretty active for someone that doesn’t post on the forums any longer. You say I’m suppose to be paying attention to what others wrote, I have, but you conveniently ignore to mention who I’m suppose to pay attention to. I guess you mean the other people that always find fault in what people complain about, making them out to be asking for more, than they actually are, or what not.

 

Only way they could have gotten all those parts without spending money, is by living their lives in the game, farming obsessively, which I did mention, and also said that I, and many/most others don’t have that sort of time to spend. Again, you conveniently ignored that info, and instead twisted things I said around to make me saying things I did not. It’s easy to supposedly win an argument, when you rewrite things to fit your own narrative.

I am sorry. There is no conflict at all. Phoenix_Shi just keeps repeating his statements and cannot accept that reality is different. So yeah - discussion doesn’t make sense - which means that there is no conflict. And yes I said I am done with the forum, where only thing I see is hate and stale thinking. Truth is - most people do enjoy this game (which shows in the game chat), this event - lower ranked players are happy to get their first destroyers done, higher ranked - to add more deadly toys to their fleet (without excessive grinding).

Changes to survival and team battle - big YES from me.

Changing modules while waiting for battle - YES - helpful if you forgot to change your PvE setup for PvP and your squad is already in queue ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)

Sound effects - some of them are … disturbing. Cannot say if I like them or not yet, though.

Like I said about Elec in an earlier post, I’m expecting the daily task reward to average out to about 10 per day, add that to the deployment reward, and it’d be enough.

10x21 + 5x21 = 315

Not a lot of wiggle room, but it would work out as they described if my guess is correct. I’d expect that the reward volume will vary as well, so some days could be 5, others 10, and the rest 15, but not necessarily in any consistent ordered fashion, just that it’d average out to about 10. Starting out with 5 gave a bad initial impression, as it wasn’t encouraging, personally I’d rather they have done something like 10 every day, but Sat, and Sun, which would be 15 each.

 

Would also have been good to put out a schedule, like they started with last phase. They’ve been kinda skint on info, like how the deployment news post doesn’t state how many you get. Maybe they don’t feel like removing/updating that info if they decide to change the numbers again, like they did last phase.

I see r3-5 ships everywhere. They ruin most of the battles. Remove them please. They won’t know how to play on t3 level no matter how much extra bonus they get.

It’s practice ;p Also give them 95% resists for the r3 pls so I can use them and troll r9s

I noticed it too with a) the buff to my r8 destroyer and b) having r5 ships against me. Wth?!

I like the weekend Bonus. Getting lots of loot in trophy search. Thx Devs.

More interesting would be to know why Devs did this. My suspicion would be long pvp que times in r1-5. So that those players get fast matches as well. If you want to attract new players and keep them, the game has to be welcoming and enjoyable for starting ranks.

Now getting your arse handed out to you in pvp in your r3 vs. r8 players will probably not seam enjoyable^^

That they might not know how to play, is a problem, but then again, you have those guys in r15 as well.

One more comment about the limiter material, and associated part. If it turns out that manufactured part is just something stuck in for the event, and won’t carry over when the ships are in regular production, why are we paying any amount, especially such a relatively high amount to unlock it?

I saw others commenting on that towards the end of the Sirius thread too. Best guess is that if this is just something only used in the event, they just copied, and modified an existing item entry, but were kinda lazy about it, so that got left in. If it will be used when they’re in regular production as well, it is planed to be another OS loot item, but unless they’ve forgotten to mention it, they’ve yet to put it in OS, Elec either. Your guess would be as good as mine as to why they’re slow at adding new things to the OS loot table.

So you can get it “now, before anyone else”.  If you don’t want to pay,  grind your but off or wait. That’s how this game goes being f2p :slight_smile:

That is clear they wanted to make queue for low rank  players faster. Although, I don’t know why this was necessary because I see 3-4 law ranks on both sides all the time that could be matched in separate battles.

The ridiculous bonuses they get is another story. When I can barely follow and kill a r5 fed engi with a r9 inti, well, that is just ridiculous. They are becoming AI like right out of coop. 

Having any knowledge of builds or roles is also useless if there are a bunch of mysterious bonuses given out. Most low ranks have low or negative resistances and still they don’t get damaged much.

And seeing them flying straight into a dessy/frig ball and soloing for a few sec then keep doing it and feeding just makes me turn around and do something else.

Not to mention that low rank players will get a false sense of their own and their ships’ abilities. 

Totally counterproductive.
