Not this one. The kill the defiler and get some credits/synergy one.

Yes. The Escort one is still with us, but the Defiler killing is gone, alongside with local buffs.

And why is the nerf of alien synergy not removed/reversed too?

What is your excuse now?

I like that fraction change now only cost 80k credits.

The synergy gain from predators/hunters still isn’t that bad in comparison to the rest of OS where synergy and credit gain are next to nothing.

What ? No. Don’t forget that the synergy gain depends on the zone’s rank.

I may have found someone using an exploit to win but I couldn’t tell who it was. For some reason at the start and end of the game my, and the rest of my team’s ping hit 600, and was then up to 12,000, I was not even aware ping went over 500 until now. However once we were losing by 130 in a beacon hunt, our ping dropped to 35, and remained there until we managed to tie the game up (when we weren’t lag jumping everywhere they weren’t that hard to beat), at which point our pings were back into the 10,000s.

Have you ever tried to get blue loot? Or hunt aliens? It’s easy to get 5,000,000 in as little as 20 minutes in some areas.

Ooh, the “lag gun”. It’s been a thing for a long time. I usually get this when I engage in close battle. If I fly around and I keep my distance, the ping is manageable no matter the sizes of the teams.

It’s bad.

Before this nerf you gained >4k for them.

Now it’s only barely over 1k. In every place.

But you need the same time as before so NERFED.

And compared to smuggler/cyber, it’s pretty bad.

If the aliens were nerfed in both damage and yield, i would say it’s okay, but nope, they are still as dangerous as ever with a loot/syn not worth fighting for.

Good thing I managed to max up every ship just before that happened,now I can stockpile free syn with my Mauler and level up any SP or R14 dd.

So the only way this would be possible is if that player was targeting you.  Did that player send you a link.  (ie: a picture, another site ?)  If you went to a link they sent then they now have your external ip.  And assuming your not at a campus on a home internet they would simply DoS or DDoS the ip you gave them by following your link.  Which would explain your ping spike.  Other than that its not possible and I doubt anyone would spend that much time and effort to win a match in SC.  Unless they really really disliked you.

did something has changed with the mm cause sice 2 day all pvp i’m doing are kinda like this:

Extreme player vs casual or…

it depends. if the ingame voice over ip implementation exposes ip adresses in any way (e.g. like steam ingame voice library used by some budget games, and many others), so works via p2p, which is very likely, it would not need a link, but still some handcrafting. however for that, someone with some patience and knowledge should look into it. i lack first. but there are tutorials online to show those vulnerabilities (which usually arent a big thing, and i still keep it enabled for the occasional delicious russian rant, so just take it as a thought, not as some )

I already had similar issues in the past, but very occasionally, so I declared them coincidence - still skeptic. But theoretically it would be possible in an automated way. It can also be infrastructural problems, that cause the same symptoms after all. the very similar “pingcheating” seems to become a new trend anyway, so people are definitely playing around with these things (in other games, as star conflict is server physics, so ping cheating would be just stupid), because they are harder to detect but they are a very inefficient way of cheating.

@Adaptive-Nerf:

I don’t like pre-nerfs. I also was an advocate of changing adaptive to hull 50% efficiency. This is a bit harsh overall for the fed engis, even tho my fits might manage. Octopus can adapt, others can’t. Also completely agree to kostys statement about it. Lets see.

@Turning Keys:

This is lazy yet again. Not agreeing that this was a cheat, actually. Yes there was some abuse, but much of it became less of an obstacle. Newly introduced weapons seemed to have a impact on movement anyway (like that alien zap gun). I hardly used those keys for some pre-sighted-manouvers, like a controlled loop, but it never really was OP by itself, just stupid. But it definitely added a quality of freedom to the movement, I would have rather toned into a fair mechanic. So even if I can manage without it - I guess - I will miss it, and after recent changes, didn’t see the need for this removal.

@Other stuff:

nothing ground breaking or to bicker about, except some of the modules, which I need to look at. I am interested in the Sword-S module.

Fun fact about about the turn key is we still have the Up and Down key. Which are the same thing thanks to roll.

If you guys remove a manual move key, remove all of them and keep only the strafe.

No, roll is definitely special. It’s the only direction that can’t be made with a single movement of the mouse (although you can essentially roll if you pitch then yaw then pitch again, just significantly slower). Regardless of how ridiculous I think removing the turn key is, it’d be ridiculous without a roll key.

I wasn’t talking about removing the roll key, but “up” and “down” turn. But nevermind it seems that they removed both right/left and up/down turn. I thought they only removed horizontal turn.

Been strafe rolling for years, screw turn key easy mode
