Squads, Destroyers, Spawn Camping, Dogfighting.

Hello.

 

I’ve got a bout of insomnia and a few random suggestions so Ill stick them all together (Sorry if these are repeats and or rubbish).

 

 

Re enable squads in ranks 9 -15 and balance them with destroyers.

 

For example in the matchmaker; 1 destroyer counts as a 2 man squad, 2 destroyers counts as a 4 man squad.

 

Given the amount of destroyers in the game this should allow squads on both sides.

 

 

Deter spawn camping - Merge the PVP and PVE respawn systems.

 

a. this would allow a PVP player to delay respawning until his teammates are also ready to respawn.

 

b. a PVE player can change ships before respawning, allowing for more experimentation in ship builds/tactics.

 

Adding a captains 75% damage boost for 3 seconds after spawning might also help in PVP.

 

 

Encourage dogfighting.

 

Add a target reticle for dumbfire missiles and provide a dumbfire missile option for command ships.

 

Add an mirrored locking effect - If you are locked onto the ship locking you, both ships gain a boost to rotation/speed which slowly increases over time. Or a different effect might be to reduce damage from other ships.

 

 

Destroyer destroyer ammo/missiles.

 

Introduce manufactured ammo that provides increased damage to a destroyers shield or hull.

 

Add a manufactured dumbfire missile that can neutralize a single placed shield.

Also +1 to the dogfighting mechanic. Isolating dogfighting people from the rest of the match would be great. I hate it when I’m doing the spin of death with another inty and some bubbler comes by and crashes the party. Dogfights are so fun but people always gotta come ruin the fun…

Shield Havoc? It fully neutralizes the shields… Also, blackhole launcher ignores shields completely.

It will uninstall Star Conflict on their computer and install Fractured Space instead.

No, the deployed shields. Not the actual ship shields.

Though shield havoc is an amazing way to rid destroyers of shields, as it works on percent instead of set damage.

Hehe, though Dreadnought is probably closest to this playstyle. Fractured Space is crap imo.

Right now fractured space is Alpha, and it already looks and plays this well. Just imagine what it would be like on release. XD

Completely agree.

 

If people want bigger ships (destroyers) with more ‘tactical’ game play then good luck to them, but that’s not how I get my enjoyment from Star Conflict. It would be a shame to see such a good dogfighting game become a build based math competition like EVE.

 

Ship class based, mirror locking bonuses would be a way of letting everyone have their fun.

 

If a pair of interceptors or fighters want to duke it out - isolate them and LET THEM FIGHT!

I watched two inties fight at a beacon the other day. My team mate didn’t need healing anyway…
