Here is a semi-accurate timeline. From the beginning:
- (skilled) squads of 2-4 annihilate PvP
|- queue times are long
- Bots gets added, leading to higher imbalance because the games are about farming bots.
|- Gets removed and added from time to time.- They decrease queue times.
- Incremental joining gets implemented.
|- (skilled) squads of 2-4 annihilate PvP
|- Queue times are shorter, but games are now very random because of the times of joining.
|- Joining lag is unbearable
|- Inexperienced/snail-tier players are flooding higher tiers
|- (skilled) Squads of 2 will never get a game, but when they do it’s just GG for sure.
|- join lag has improved, the server connections have improved
|- But it is irrelevant as most games are based on randomness.
|- It sometimes takes as long time to get a game as it did when incremental join wasn’t implemented
(this will cause people to begin rolling tobacco in queue because they have time)
In other words, the new system gives people lung cancer and aids. And children will die.
Verdict:
Seal clubbing has been lowered, by pampering the seals (congrats, you made that goal.)
Squad play is really not so fun anymore
Why am i playing in PvP?
Can this game be competitive?
What is a team?
Does it even matter?
Is life a liquid? Can i drink it? and does it taste like lemon?
Note from personal opinion :
Leagues and dreads can’t replace PvP:
-
Dreads don’t feel like competitive gameplay. You can’t practice for dreads.
-
Dreads fill the gap in your heart that says (competitive gameplay) but not really.
-
Leagues don’t allow you to play the game at all times and the player base is even lower than the total PvP
I don’t want training grounds for dreads if it means you can only play against other corps/the same corps.
I so want PvP battles and PvP teams/squads, able to practice and play all day and all night, at school, at work, while eating, during exercise (also physical) and while sleeping.
SUGGESTION FROM THE BRAIN:
-
If you are a squad of 3-8 people, the matchmaker looks at your sort-of performance.
-
You can get a game, even if there are no squads to vs you
|- you might get matched as 4v7, 8v10 or 8v12 because of your squad parameter matrix metrics.
|- you get instant game
In this way, the seals, neets, plebs will have to fight their way out of tyrany, not have their mom (devs) do it for them.
And the pros will have a greater challenge OR cause greater slaughter than ever. But you can balance it by adding extra players on the other team, and adjust as it gets implemented and tested.
I’m bringing glory back (yeah)
Them other boys don’t know how to attack (yeah)
I think you’re special, what’s behind your ship? (yeah)
So turn around and I’ll pick up the slack (yeah)
Getting too creative now! :
You could make the big squads a feature of the game like
YOU HAVE ENCOUNTERED A DEATH-SQUAD !
DEFEAT THEM AND THE EMPEROR WILL REWARD YOU
(vouchers, credits, upgrades)
innovative thinking just kicked in!!
|- ability to skip death squad queue to get into ‘normal game’?
|- make the death-squads part of the game, see them as a resource
.
More game, more fun, right?
