How exactly is this working? Is it possible to make larger squads?

 

I have 3 friends i would like to do some PVE with, and i cant since the squad only suports 3. Is that intended to work that way? Whats the point in have a large social network if you can only play with few people.

Hello,

the maximum squad size is 3. Currently there is no way of making bigger squads.

Thanks for the answers. The custom battle seems ideal if i want to play with 3 friends. Heheheh.

I’m sure they will add more game types like corp, big team, and squad matches later on. 3 seems like an odd number though, I don’t mean literally :\

Squad sizes used to be 4 pilots. But that generated a lot of hate in T4 cause pilots there kept getting pitted against full purple T5 ESB squads.

Wouldn’t that be a problem with matchmaking and not squad size?

And the fact that in T3, a quarter of a team would be one squad that would dominate.  It just wasn’t balanced at all.  The ESB squads went from fearsome(if you ignore w/l ratio) to manageable.  I’m not trying to single out ESB, but some of them could be proud of it.
