speed > all?

as i move forward into the game i am finding that ships get faster and faster, problem here is there is a point where they become nearly imposible to hit, is rare but from time to time i run into high tier skilled interceptors and to be honest i simply switch targets becouse is imposible to hit them, is not only the speed, if it where with prediction i would be able to hit them but they can olso do super sharp turns so fast is not even funny.

at first i thought this was a matter of the ship i was driving (frigate) wich i am ok with since i dont dislike the idea of rock, paper, scisor system (frigate > fighter > interceptor > frigate) but after a while i start noticing how this interceptors could just enter a group of oponets ships and not only survive but kill a few before disapearing when damaged just to reapear a few sec later with full health in the other side of the map.

You should fly all three tiers of ships, Interceptor, Attack, and frigate.

Interceptors are fast, they can gang up on frigates really easily if the frigates aren’t being guarded or higher tech they are toast.

i chose frigates becouse i like big ships olso becouse my pc and conections are not the best, giving me a small delay wich in turns makes fast ship quite anoying to play.

anyway i dont mind interceptors destroying frigates, my point was more about how they could enter a fight alone against enemy groups of fighters, kill 1 or 2 and escape like no problem as long as they got a clue how to move or the enemy team is not using many lasers.

That is the point in the game though, it is up to the pilots skill.

Not everyone can do that with ease, the escape is the hardest part and often where I get destroyed simply because I make one wrong turn into an object.

It isn’t as easy as you think, good players just make it look easy (as with anything that someone has gotten good at, they make it look easy).

I believe this is quite annoyng too!!!

I got some experience in this game and yes some time u find some pilots lvl 15 pilots i mean (u can recognize that coz they got 4 ships instead of three) using t2 interceptors that are impossible to hit, (i mean just some of them, not all obviously) and i’m not crap in this game…that is just unbalenced!

This could be coz of the skill tree and coz of the fact that u can use super t2 ships once u get full skill tree, or maybe there is some work to do with the command modules wich sometime make ships nearly undestructable… When u meet squads like “borg” with 4 pilots, best thing to do is just suicide and do something else :frowning: Same with some lvl 15 players using t2 ships just to enjoy destroy low lvl pilots :frowning: (i think we all know their names)…

So please devs consider this very carefully coz this is just the kind of things that makes great games die…

Something need to be fixed here, not a big change but that gap have to be reduced…

A simple fix copuld be that for each t4 lvl 15 player usong t2 ship, add two t2 opponents in the other team so if a team (better call it gang) of four t2 lvl 15 players join the match, the opponent team should be composed of 12 fighter (at least 8 humans)…I think this will make the match balanced and this ppl will think twice bfore ganging low lvl players :wink: Simply math :slight_smile:

The devs already got a few ideas for the fix :slight_smile:
