Spectre Shield Change

A few simple changes that will make the spectre shield useful.

 

Give it to the Command.

 

Firing and taking damage does not decloak affected ships.

Effective range reduced to 1000m.

Shield drain mechanics removed.

Cooldown set to 50secs.

Energy cost adjusted to fit fighter levels.

Guard have enough modules as it is. Command only have 4 modules with almost no variation in choice (valkyrie, gravi, polariser, hull rep)

 

It is not guard’s role to buff allies, spectre shield fits perfectly with the rest of the command modules.

And… You are wrong.

 

The spectre field is not a buffing module. It’s a survival/Defensive/Strategic Module.

You only see the “Invisibility Field” when the module also have a shield drain And a Shield Regen.

We are not buffing them, We are Using them to become stronger ! (even if this module need some tweak to become more viable)

I removed the shield drain because it is not necessary a good thing. Even though you are providing ur teammates with cloak, they may still be easily uncloaked with microlocator or shooting without realising. In that case, enemy could just focus on the shield-drained teammates and kill them quicker.

 

Also, this module favours empire or fed teammates because jericho shield tanking (with exception to guard of course) wasnt weak enough.

You keep seeing it at a Buffing module while it’s not.

You don’t use it to cloak your allies, you use it to make the ennemy focus on you instead of your allies. And the drain give you enough selfregen to tank/reduce the incoming fire.

The drain is cancelled when you go outside of the Field range, and when you can’t be cloaked.

This module is not designed for being used on Interceptors in first place but on Jeri/Imperial Fighters and frigates. That’s the point.
