This is NOT a troll thread, nor flaming thread in any sense. All those that treat this as such will be removed. Your response has to be 100 words or more to prevent obvious 2 sentence trolling.
I face a lot of people in this game. Good and bad. But there is times where there are some corporations I dread seeing on my team or against, skilled or not skilled. Worst yet, there are some pilots that are so bad, I feel like they would have been better off AFK.
Do you get where I am coming from? There are superior Corps like WPK, ESB, NASA, and more that have amazing pilots all around and are pleasure (or a damn dread) to fight against. But then you have the specific people from other corps or within the big ones that make you literally scratch your head saying “What the hell was he/she thinking? Why did they do that? Can ya not be such a complete ignorant pilot?”
My point is that there is some things in which I dont understand and would like to discuss, to better understand WHY this may become so and why player behavior becomes like this.
Note: All names have been changed but corp affiliation has not.
Some scenarios which I have encountered.
Scenario number 1. “Damn Teammates are our own worst enemy”
Time: USA Prime time
Place: Sector Conquest - Sector 2443
Me and another fellow corp mate are squadded. We wait about 4 to 5 minutes before getting into a game. Its a 4 v 4 and we get paired with “Corp A.” Corp A is a known corp and widely regarded as being “Good” and “Pretty skilled”. We face another good corp, lets call them Corp B. Game progresses faster as usual as we are using TS and really working the other team to destruction.
2 minutes till the end of the timer and only 2 ships remaining, Corp A, our team mates, suddenly turn on us, kill us, and then proceed to PROLONG the game by going after the beacons instead of killing the last 2. Obviously we respawn and go in to try to take out the enemy, only to find our team mates kill us AGAIN, to make the game longer!
Obviously I was about to literally explode in anger. As there is NO point in doing this. But after the game was won. We PMed the 2 pilots that did this. Found out they spoke another language but used a translator to speak to them. Turns out, they did what they did because they wanted more “Influence Points” to go to there corp and to have better scores. Needless to say, its still a BS excuse to kill your team mates that basically did ALL the dirty work of killing the enemy.
What this brings to corp A is none other then Shame, bad sportsmanship, selfishness, and the lack of communication. Sec Con is a place where high level corps can participate and really show there skill, not kill your own team mates!
Now this gets back to the original Title question. I dont want them on my team again, and I dont like that corp anymore because of this and as of recent encounters.
Was racism involved? Did they hate us for our corp? Did they not like us personally?
Regardless, Still a xxxx move. I dont want to face you guys ever again nor help you. Dont show it to us, I wont show it back. Its called respect.
