I’d love it to not be useless in PvP. Maybe another loot attempt? Or even using it’s radar function to track down enemies. Thoughts?

Yes, it gives 7% crit chance.
The module isn’t intended to be used in PvP. It is intended for use in Invasion. You really should have another module to switch out for the spatial scanner when you decide to go into PvP, as any other CPU module is better than the spatial scanner in PvP. If you really want to reveal enemies, use an enhanced scanner to boost your sensor range. This allows you to see enemies much farther away. If you are suggesting something to show where invisible opponents are, that would break the balance for ships that have cloaking.
When an cloaked enemy ship comes within 500 meters:
“There is a disturbance in the Force! Get ready!”
