Sound EFX error

New comm static sound from being targeted by npc stays active if you go through gate. Only way to turn it off is quit game and restart.

I’ve got it too. Was targeted by a lone Cartel pilot and audio filled with comm static. Jumped to new sector and static was still present. Docked on station, static is now playing over the hangar sounds. Make it stahp!

 

Earlier, I was sent on a daily mission to shoot a traitor. Upon destruction of the traitor ship, the static noise stopped.

unfortunately, you have to kill / wait out the sound before you jump, otherwise, it sticks :stuck_out_tongue:

It makes me go even more bonkers. This sound, like a little voice, reminding me of thing I’ve forgotten. Need to check inventory again, the voice might be right.

 

I’m looking for my chainsaw.

 

I’m looking for my flamethrower.

 

I got my list.

 

I got my body bags.

 

I got my stupid bunny suit.

 

Now, did I remembered all of it. Voice? Voice?

as Snib mentioned in another thread, you might also turn off the npc sounds.

 

Gonna try that. Coz yesterday it became borderline for me, and I am usually very enduring for this sort of stuff.

Not sure if this was fixed, but I had the same issue.  Logged in yesterday and it was gone.  I hope so for you too, because that was driving me  :015:

There was a hotfix applied about 3 days ago for something, don’t know what. I had hoped it was for this bug. Turns out it wasn’t.

 

I have been avoiding open space because of this. I have also started to hear numbers in the static.  :fed015:

 

Temporary fix is to move the slider labeled ‘NPC Voices’ to 0 under the audio tab in settings.
