Some newbie questions regarding destroyer

Here is my frustration come to Star Conflict.

When I pick interceptors, I go dumpy rides and give enemy a free kill, 

when I pick fighters, I want my tankness, 

when I pick frigates, still I want my more tankness, 

so I think I might good at destroyer, but as you know…

It is impossible to make destroyer now…

 

So…

 

  1. What is the fastest track to make a destroyer?

 

  1. What should I play before I make destroyer?

Thx for your reply, however one more question, how to get T8 destroyer quickly?

I tried to go to open space, but not enough…

those 2 guys should have an idea of how to get something fast (farmable)

 

Regarding a destroyer, it may not necessarily be more “tanky”, pure tank in classic MMO ways pretty much does not exist in Star Conflict with couple exceptions, but even then huge part in tankiness makes up pilots positioning and knowing when to push or fallback. Meaning poorly positioned destroyer can die as fast as an interceptor.

 

Right now all frigates pretty much obsolete if Frontal Blaster CovOps are in the game, but after it gets nerfed I recommend learning guards, since those are the most closest thing to a “tank” plus they are “free” ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

(just wanted to ad:)  … if you want to build rank 8 destroyer, please fly all-rank 8s max leveled up ships  in PvP and PvAI (Co-op) that will drop needed Neodium for you as trophies after battle.

And if you like interceptors (or whatever ship-class) but feel not good enough in them try to learn to fly interceptors in the rather safe ranks 1-5 and then go up with your advanced skills in ranks 6,7,8 - Rank 8 battles can be challenging for you then and you will learn further.

 

Another thing is to have a good build of your ships. O.k. take the ship you like to fly and ask in chat some veteran players if they would exchange their ship builds with you (you could even make a forums thread asking for helping build your xyz-ship(s). After a while you will see who is real good vet and who is not. The community is friendly and likes to help freshmen to this marvellous game! If you find yourself a corporation you can ask around and learn further.

I have no problem with guard being obsolete… nothing makes a game more unenjoyable than a 4km radius energy break, damage reduction, afterburner block, etc…

On the contrary, Engies should get more credit for their work.

no,no,not true: worse : 8km campers in gunships with auto snap aim lasers and auto aim slow down energy suck …

Thx for your replys, I changed my mind since I find out I’m not good at postioning, which means I’m useless in

large ships. What I find more fun is 

Recon.

I suceessed to put 7kills and 7debuff assists in PVP.

I think I will go for Recon.

Okay I must agree Overheating lazers with the magnetic field disruptor module are Stupid. But at least you can dodge them. Try dodging mass populsion inhibitors. (And most of then are a freekill in 1 o 1 if you can burst them and not let them retreat with deimos engine)

One more question,

I’m going for Jericho T8 Archon Destroyer using 0 0 3 2 1 Build

and Jericho router,

Snergy lv 4

Kinetic spread -33% projectile speed

  • 25 %

Snergy lv 8

Recharge time of active module -15%

 

Can you help me with setting weapon and modules for my build?

you can spread 3 modules on cap and cpu slots, mix of Heat sinks and Infrared scanners to boost those guns, you could throw 1 more into Hull, but if you can get 1x crystal plate + hull volume, you don’t really need 3rd slot that much, but it wouldn’t hurt to specialise into some type of resistance

As long as you have enough credits (no other resources required), you can always refit the Destroyer, swap its bonuses, and slot layout

There are no Heat Sinks at r8. Their lowest rank is r9.
