Problem with xenomissions isn’t the difficulty, it’s more the restriction of those.
I don’t play PvP(my fail).
I don’t play r13+(I will level low stuff).
So even if I would do one of the above, it wouldn’t have any use…
Not to forget the very special missions sometimes.
Missions should encourage to play, not hampering progression.

That’s what I said. The name “gunship” really just is a placeholder, as it means nothing aside from an extra missile type and combat reboot. Otherwise, all Ellydium ships are and will be the “does basically everything” ships.
Then I would like to see roles defined a bit more so that the JOAT is also master of none. A ship with no weaknesses should have that as its weakness. A requirement for the pilot to switch up tactics because going head to head with a specialist in their field would be a failure.
Still though, it has too many survival mechanisms compared to non ellydium ships. Being able to escape and fully heal and return immediately goes against everything I believe a gunship should be. As long as it has an overdrive special module and access to gunship modules this is how I will feel. The whole thing with a gunship is you have to plan your hits, you enter, deliver firepower, and whether or not you were successful in this determines your survival chances. Make a mistake and you’re just a fighter with only a main weapon.
I will tell you this though: Command fighters will be the true OP among these ships. Strong defense, team utility, damage boost, stun missiles. Combine this with the JOAT mentality with ellydium ships, you might wind up with the most ridiculously hard to kill ships in the game. Damage blocking will always be superior to regeneration, but if you layer them you close the gaps where your damage block is down.
Joke aside
Notice that there’s no engi in my team, and I’m neither using matter absorber nor repair kit. I did 9 kills in a row with only 500 hull left ![](< base_url >/uploads/emoticons/014j.png “”)

…Anyway, Thar Ga is definitely something any players can reach. Far easier then any premium ship or destroyer.
So it’s definitely not P2W IMO.
But - not every player wants to get this -ugly (its in the eyes of the beholder) - fighter:gunship! If any I want to avoid it playing my hole life! I am aware to suffer penalty in ranks and in grind gain … but its ugly as it can be. a pistol in space!
I want a choice - not a socialists 1-year-plan : get the ship-class you normally play for ‘Beta’-testing in a couple of months - we collect your data-for-RC-style! Sorry- I like this game and all but I have my red-line.

'Tis true. It’s really easy to get for free, and it is by far one of the ugliest ships in game. And as for this beta stuff, they need to cut the sh** and just release all of the ships at once. Give us a choice at least.

Yes - the entry costs are _relatively_ low (15k GS is too much) - but the costs to get it neatly up and ‘famin’ is high! Don’t like it.
You know, with the usual DLCs – when you bought them at sales 50%-off prices - - that was clear cut, everyone knew what they would get for their green-back - but now? It is disguise what to expect from your investments and - had we not the early adoptors like Milf / Swifter etc.pp. - we all had to pay to get some basic insights… Don’t like the general aproach this time.
Though I find the new ship research roundel a nice tech !!
P.S.: If the Devs and Gijin needed money , say fro expansion, new developer recruitment, new servers or else, I would like to invest upfront - if I like, the way I like - , but not in a way I feel manipulated.
P.P.S.: But besides all this I still like this game AND SUPPORT IT!
Not all specials are representing a “gun”
I quite like the fact that each special has it’s own crystal colors.
crystal predator looks cool AF
Can’t wait for all the other “colours”-OP ![:007_2:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/007_2.png “:007_2:”)
- 40$ for tharga
- who knows how much to buy the xenocrystals to research the op double damage gun and modules, I’m assuming 100$+
- >who knows how much to ““evolve”” the ship, I’m assuming another 100$+
- >fly around applying bubble fighter methedology with super strong kinetic weapon
- >one or two shot the majority of the community that doesn’t know how to play
Buying the ability to feel like you’re good doesn’t mean you really are good, but people do like to pretend. When this thing gets into the hands of a competent player, there’s very little that can be done. Even less if they’re squadding.
I happen to like the look and the concept, but I’m not a scum that buys things which are so ridiculously overpowered that I can dunk everybody who doesn’t have one on that principal alone. The good players who use this should be ashamed of themselves because they’re advertising through their behavior that people need to buy one, and then the average community player buys one follows a guide and gets a lot of fun dunking their peers. Not that they can compete with a good player with one, but good players are the minority and rarely encountered. Then it gets nerfed because it’s overperforming and the next one gets released and the cycle starts over.
I can’t really blame them for doing this, it’s their paycheck after all. If they want to pander like this for easy cash I can’t blame them, but it sure makes me angry at the community for letting their low standards destroy whatever portions of the game are left. I really liked this game. If I wasn’t so far in already I would have quit long ago, but for now I’m just watching with a bit of morbid curiosity waiting to see how it all plays out and hoping at some point I get proven wrong.
I suppose the real irony of it is people are spending hundreds of dollars on digital “goods” which can evaporate or become worthless at any time. If I had that kind of expendable cash I’d probably use it on land development, not video games.

Its not much of a sale those numbers are right enough. Tbh this is still in keeping with the SC methods of getting the new stuff. Pay a lot or grind, better still a combo of the two, buying license and playing. Usually the 1st few wins will net around 16 xeno add that to completing even one of the 45 xeno a week missions and its a lot more acheiveable imo and I especially like the fact that many of the missions are encouraging ppl to squad again which has been a long time coming ![:):](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/).png “:):”)

Cant agree with that. The destroyers when 1st introduced were purely a new guy ship. Entire teams could be obliterated or just denied an objective from the strength of one guy who mostly didnt know what he was doing. The effects are still seen now with own team members still doing things like casting gravy hole too short(into own team) or activating inside a cloud of enemy ecm. I see this as a little turning of the tables as it does take considerably more skill to play than that did. There are still answers to the tharga in the regular ship tree but with the original destroyers there was not anything outside of try to coordinate with randoms ![:005:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/005.png “:005:”). I dont advocate the killing of newbs as the game always needs fresh players but there is no shame here when i have to fight 3-5 enemy overperforming ships, if i want to win then i have to bring my own or spend 20 mins in the hanger building counter ships when the best answer is sitting right there. Also the missions require a max rank ship which should stop the much defended T2/3 pros from grinding out missions amoungst the newer guys. Shame is something that the mid tiers players should have felt for the old kill squads and the 1st introduction of r11 destroyers but that was all good apparently.

Same, see my profile pic. I was going to write a ‘guide’ of sorts myself. More a breakdown of every which way the ship is broken but i realised that it would not only be more advertising to encourage ppl buying but would also be pointing out the dozens of tricks that much of the community will not realise is there. Not exactly hoarding secrets here as many will realise themselves but the idea of it being nerfed is not so straightforward once you get one to R15 and start to see the monsters true nature. House fire.
Anyway, still not p2w as some have suggested. An encouragement to invest in license and play the game but not p2w.

I’m one of those who spent 325€ during the 40% GS sale
And I’ll have tons of fun with these 180k GS.
It’s not because you don’t have the cash to do so that everybody must use their cash like you want to.
The irony here is that I have enough cash to both spends hundreds of dollars on video games, and your so called “land development”.
But I won’t. Because it’s not fun.
People spend money to get recognition all the time (cars, cellphones, watches,…) The money spend in Thar’ga is also like those cinema tickets we buy for the lastest movie hit. With Thar’ga players are buying “fun”. As long as devs don’t burn players who spend money they won’t stop this scheme.
And yet, Thar’ga is too used, i hope we get lower amount of Thar’ga soon in matches. The lately increase of Guards doesn’t bother me like Thar’gas. Guards under fire are slow.
I agree with ntboble on this one, the thing is there’s no other equally effective way of monetization other than buy the current meta thing so let’s endure this wave just like any other for the past few years, the current meta will be gradually nerfed as we go and the rest is the usual stuff we always do/play.
I don’t think devs want to do OP stuff for money.
They just want to add more unique content to the game, but unique means that they don’t have a referential to balance stuff and that they are super long to react.
IMO their tools to analyze games aren’t powerful enough to do a proper balancing. After all on the first update after Thar Ga release, their stats showed that thar ga was underpowered ![](< base_url >/uploads/emoticons/014j.png “”)
Yeah I guess they only use the average effectiveness per ship/module/class/role to determine what’s OP and not OP.
I had to fight against a full Ninja wing in SecCon with 4 Thar’gas and some of their best players (i least i hope so, i don’t want to repeat that with even better players on his side ![:006:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006.png “:006:”)) . I’m sorry, but yes they can win us with anything, but if they use Thar’ga is because is fun and if they buy Thar’ga then they are buying fun and getting other resources btw.

There are billions of stuff IRL that you buy to have fun. Such as toys, theme parks, cinema, or whatever you want.
But if it’s buying something in a game to have fun, then it’s suddenly something bad ?
I don’t get that logic.
Well, their buying can be interpreted in statistic terms just as badly as the aforementioned mishap with tharga stats and the next thing could be designed so it fits the buying profile of the last best-buy meta thing, the other negative side is just about, idk, ethical/moral reasons of supporting such possible way of business.
On the other hand i have enjoyed overall the game for the past 2 years and can say that every issue gets some kind of a fix eventually, sometimes its improvisation, sometimes a legit good fix, but still a fix, so i’m positive about it at some end.

I believe it’s because comes at the expense of others more than other things. Can’t say anyone enjoys getting blown up by ships with big damage, lots of “invincibility” buffs, regeneration, 7km range etc. Which is harder to do with “normal” ships. Usually you are sacrificing a lot of things to get the extreme range/damage /invincible /regen, not so much with the new ships, you can have 2 or three of these!

I both dislike you for your low standards and lack of imagination, but at the same time I’m envious that gaijin has such easy suckers to take cash from.
