Bug report:
Most, if not all Snipers, will not show the player’s names or tags, when you get hit by a sniper shot and its after effect.
Affects all Sniper ships.
It seems that you can only see a name tag, if a player locks on you. May not be a bug.

It’s more complicated than I thought. I will add screenshots later.
This requires a bit more testing.
Lock or no lock - name label isn’t affected.
First thermal shot damage usually displays the name of a player that’s shooting at you.
Second thermal damage is an aftereffect of the first shot. This one is never labelled.
However, in some cases, it seems, that the first shot is ignored and only second effect is applied.
