I already had this working :o

But it seems to be less buggy
Nice work

I’ve had this parsed since before the first public version of the analyzer actually, just never made an interface for it (we even talked about that long ago on TS when you were still creating yours).

I’m not sure what the bugs are with your tool since it doesn’t play nice with my browser, but might help to know that the item names in the logs for some reason are not always the same as the rest of the game uses.

Oh and thx.

The reason of the self destruct was not to preserve SR, but to finish the game as soon as possible because it was already lost. Since now SR doesn’t take into account your victims rating, it is just an useless rating. It doesn’t matter if you or a 700 dsr guy kill me, I will lose the same points. In fact I have grown mine by 400 points in a few days…

The new addition looks good, if it doesn’t give the passives fitting. One of the greatest things of this game is the possibility to try specialised/weird builds and make people wonder how or what you will have in your ship.

Actives and weapons is ok, those can be seen / expected in game anyway.

Rating was always useless, it’s just become more obvious now. At least it gives Takamina something to do now that negative karma is hard to come by.

I would probably have added passives if there was an easy way, but figuring out whether e.g. that rate of fire bonus comes from implant, module, ammo or server lag is next to impossible. Same goes for the implants that do not get shown. Also the stats you see in the tooltip in game do not get logged.

Yes, I should have said ‘more useless’

At least before was “something” similar to Elo.

I find that looking at the tooltip and trying to find the modules the other guy is using is a nice skill to have. It reminds me of Eve. In fact, Eve punish bad players by giving out their fits when they die, but if you don’t die, nobody will know your fit.

Of course dying in eve is harder than here if you know what you are doing.

Eve Online is a cruel world. But they implemented almost all good ideas we can have.

Maybe Snib can enable a protection where only dead ship give their fitting ^^

I miss my collection of frozen corpses…

Did you see in the dev response thread yesterday how they claimed not to look at EVE when clearly they copy & pasted so much? That was cute.

I don’t mind if they copy or make things very similar with Eve if they do it right.

After all, that is how invention works. You take something that works, and then you try to improve it.

I always contracted the corpse to the guy I killed. I don’t want to be mean by collecting them… but for some reason they raged even more!!

Do not know. We do not look at EVE Online.

Nooooooo they never ever seen EVE Online, but just this:

 - Cerberus

 - Crusader

 - Deimos

 - Eagle

 - Falcon

  • Harpy

  • Hawk

  • Inquisitor

  • Loki

  • Naga

  • Osprey

  • Panther

  • Phobos

  • Phoenix

  • Raptor

  • Reaper

  • Scimitar

  • Tormentor

 - Wolf

 - Zealot

Anyway I won’t blame them, EVE is the most achieved space game ever made.

Is not like those names are trademarked or something… in fact the ship names are more faction coherent in SC than in Eve.

Sure, but they are still obviously copied. For a while Invasion was also called Incursion with NPCs called Sleepers, and that’s obviously where they took that idea from (down to the system-wide shader applied to the graphics…come on). Also lots and lots of the base mechanics of this game are lifted straight from EVE.

But I’m with Eta, can’t blame them for copying from the best.

I only hope they copy one of favorite hulls one day:

(that screenshot is 6 years old, I know they revamped the graphics since but looked great even back then)

PS: Thanks to the new supporters, your names have been added to the list in the donate window. The rest of you should join them!  :004j:

Niceee

P.S. there are no AI Bots in Sec Con

Well, if they ever add any they will be included. xD

Hi guys.

So I got an email today that Star Conflict is finally releasing. That I’d ever see the day. And in fact I won’t.

As some of you may know, I stopped playing a little while ago because I did not enjoy the direction the game was taking towards a PVE grinder with more grind, unbalanced invasion modules and ammunition in PVP, combined T4/T5 match-making despite heavily unbalancing T5 implants, etc. So I scanned the patch notes for the patches that I missed and it seems development keeps heading full steam in that direction for release.

I enjoyed the game for its quick PVP and the good fights with the skilled core players. This open world grinder with now two types of bots in PVP is not the game for me.

Because of this I decided to remove my publicly available tools for now. In particular with the influx of new players that you will hopefully get there is no point keeping them around when they will no longer get updated and fall into disrepair.

Special thanks to these guys for having supported my projects in the past:

  • sephirothsk [WPK]
  • xKostyan [NASA]
  • DisFireCo [PREY]
  • Cynabal [sAVED]
And apologies to those who would have liked to continue using it - maybe you can use eta92’s web log analyzer instead, although I’m not sure if he’s still around to keep it up to date.

As an interesting bit of side-info, the majority of users were actually from the Russian community even though I never posted there. Most frequent user from the English forum community was that dirty sniper Tillowaty. <3

PS: Those of you with access to non-public tools (e.g. Invasion mode overlay, Chat Reader, Stats Viewer) will keep it, just know that no updates will be forthcoming.

I could never use your tools, and I whished we could have settled that one incident more wisely, but otherwise, I still thank you and offer respect for the work you have done there.

Indirectly, we might have spurred each other with negative energy, who knows what positive would have done.

It’s sad to lose one of the hardest to catch players from the battlefield for good.

:012j:

Maybe one day.
