People, including Koromac, have always complained about swarms, CovOp, Recons, ECMs, Guards, Engineers, Cruise Tacklers - you name it.
This is not a balance discussion this is a pointless whining that originated years ago and has nothing to do with the specific ship. I’d gladly talk balance of Taikin and Tharga and other things, but nobody is interested in discussion actual balance, people just go “of everything is xxxx, everything is uber OP” ← that is not how balancing works.
Listen, find me one or two such threads, made years ago, where I complained about such ships.
I mostly complained about economy and destroyers and recently, about Ellydium ships.
As for the actual balance discussion.
You tested those ships. You got other testers. I was not one of them.
I doubt that you didn’t know how will this play out.
You all had a chance to make the ship more balanced, but the issue is probably bigger than just adding or changing some numbers.
Whole Ellydium aspect is only broken, when you compare it with standard ships! Standard ships are somewhat balanced, skill determines the victor.
But with Ellydium ships you don’t really need any skill. You just aim and press a button, homing projectile will make the rest for you.
Need to get a destroyer killed quickly? Not a problem. Just go in at high speed and release some green “bubbles”. The rest will be done for you.
Whole aspect of Ellydium is questionable, because OLD META that we had is not consistent or comparable to the NEW META. It’s incompatible!
It can be tuned, but it cannot be balanced!
