Signature masking not working with high resistance

here a short table how much damage you receive depending on resits:

300 = 25%

350 = 22.2%

400 = 20%

450 = 18.18%

 

yea i already seen that, and that 400 resistance is -5 precent is ridiculesly low. should been more.

… Yes, why not create a broken system that allows you to receive 0 damage whilst having a ridiculously high tank.

 

Every game has a means of creating a soft/hard cap on damage dealing and/or tanking ability. Deal with it.

rly? if i have 300 resistance, and singularity is dealing 3500-4000 dmg per shot, and i take ca 1300 damage per hit, if i had 400 ressitance it would been like 1100, (thats nothin) if i would take 130 damage i would rather take 110.

 

se? and i dont have that high resistance. having high resistance = less shields. also 25 precent out of 3500 is supposed to be less than 1100 so kinda messed upp. 

Yes. That’s how the mechanics work so people DON’T ABUSE IT. You understand the concept of “abusing game mechanics”, yes? You understand that it’s because of people like you, trying to break the system that the rules are changed, yes? You understand the simple concept of “balance”, yes? Then why do you persist on this?

Maybe it is dealing more damage because of buffs?

Something about diablo 3 teached me something about diminishing returns (which is the case here) it is not as if the more resists the fewer you get. Think about it, if you have 98% resist against some kind of dammage, and you increase to 99%, i actually makes you take half the dammage of the previous 98% resist. But of course, if your aim is to have invulnerability against some kind of dammage you are in a wrong place, maybe if one day this game has a 8th tier, and some guard gets 4 or 5 shield slots you can go to 700 which may give you about 90% resist, but then, the singularity cannon will hit you for 100k dammage and you will take proportionally the same dammage as today. HEHEHEHE

 

 

And as i stated first, if you focus on just one resist, you will get mauled by a fa rt of any other kind of dammage. Say, 498 kin resist, one critical shot from a singularity purple will reap more than half your shields if valk is activated nearby, and before you can notice 2 bubbles comming from behind you you are already dead.

i need to know why signature masking wont apply when i got higher resistances. it should work on shield and hull. still ain’t taking any less dmg.

Do you really think every one is not smart enough to come up with max tanking build here? This game is not a rocket science and amount of modules and implants available is very limited, figuring out how to build a ship is a kids play

a) Using NanoComposite + MultiPhase + Emergency shield booster + Signature Masking means that you are god damn useless guard

b) Using this build on Inqusitor S is 2x useless

c) Using this build on a T-Rex mk2 with no other Guard role modules such as Propulsion Inhibitor/Pulsar brings us to the point (a)

3x(2x+specific resistance) Adaptive shield on T-Rex is no breakthrough build, but, at least people know how to be an asset to the team, and not useless space brick

gj bro. that damage was done by that guard, i use gunships and guards, and longrange, everything else is weak.  also engineering and maybe some ECM. ecm is a teamship it cant do anything alone. 

 

so gg and come fight me if u want. 

 

the modules u mention am i using on other frigates. i got all guards in game. its just a strategy im testing and it works fine since i got 130k survival easilly. 

guard = survive,

engineering = heal

longrange = long range + high damage

ecm = counter

you = talk like a nab, well you are from nasa annyway so. im done here. :) 

 

what im doing is acting like a little beacon with high damage if close enough range = ppl hit me meanwhile my team including me shots the enemies same time = some sort of counter and distraction.

 

its made for distracting others so my team can easily attack them meanwhile they shot me.

what does this have to do with math dude, just because i didnt knew the resistance beyond 300 because it was not listed then im stupid. just because i didnt care to calculate it, im 17 years bro. not a math nerd.

I will do a custom and record it with signature masking and if it doesn’t apply cause i found out, the way signature works is that i have 350 resistance right, it doesn’t care about that. if i take 1000 dmg from a singularity i will then if signature is 20 precent less, then i will take 800 dmg, thats what i found out. but now the big test is coming soon. and getting this thing to mk4 ain’t no problem. also im doing 8500 dps with 5000 range on heavy blaster in pvp. good luck with that.

yea i just got back playing this and last week. + some of my friends.

 

but really 1/3 or 1/4 of corp has more than 7 days innactive. when they come back, we are back as n1 like we have been earlier for long periods of time. 

 

also yea alot of ppl in the corp is kinda low. cant denie that.
