Side Missions: change standard synergy rewards to free synergy

Simple and short request.

This request is related to Open Space or Invasion mode.

Please replace white cog wheel with a purple cog wheel symbol.

In other words, replace standard synergy with free synergy as a reward for doing such side missions or errands.

Screenshot example:

Optional:

You may also include loyalty voucher rewards.

Harder missions should be compensated with higher rewards.

Missions with low difficulty should provide 5000 loyalty vouchers.

Missions with medium difficulty should provide 10000 loyalty vouchers.

Missions with high difficulty should provide 15000 loyalty vouchers.

Provided screenshot example, is the example of low difficulty mission:

42000 credits+21000 credits (if you own Premium license) = 63000 credits total

2625+1313 standard synergy (if you own Premium license) = 3938 standard synergy total

If my suggestion gets implemented, it would be like this:

42000 credits+21000 credits (if you own Premium license) = 63000 credits total

2625+1313 free synergy (if you own Premium license) = 3938 free synergy total

5000+2500 (if you own Premium license)=7500 loyalty vouchers total (of selected branch)

This simple change would provide some additional incentive for players to do such missions in Open Space.

I am hoping, that this request will not be ignored as well.

It would be best, if both would be granted by commercial department.

In case of implementation, I thank you.

Please, do not forget to vote!

Free synergy actually seems like a pretty neat idea for those who do monocrystal dailies with premium or fully leveled ships - and a lot of people do this, especially since premium ships encourage players to do so.

I agree with this suggestion for the gold missions at least, but maybe keep normal ship synergy for the blue ones, as newer players may want to use those to level a specific ship.

As for loyalty vouchers, I disagree with granting them through quests, as you can already pick up vouchers as loot.

However, allowing some of the contracts to count open space missions (such as ‘win 2 battles’) as a ‘victory’ for that quest would be a neat idea.

There is no difference between standard and free synergy, except for one.

You can apply it on any ship. Discussion is meant to address Side Missions or Errands as well as Main Missions.

Point is, that you should get free synergy from all types of missions, gold and blue.

Your advice makes no sense to me and defies logic, when you state, that you want to keep standard synergy.

Premium ship bonuses do not add more synergy or free synergy in Open Space as well.

They add 1 duplication attempt and 2 extra loot spots. It is irrelevant what ship you fly in Open Space.

What matters, are the missions. And the whole point is to get free synergy is just one thing.

You can clearly use on whatever ship you like, by taking different methods to acquire it.

Gold and Blue missions are limited to daily rewards as well. You cannot complete them indefinitely for each faction.

Personally I don’t want standard synergy - the ships I’m leveling are done and I’m not using those for open space.

The newer players, however, are. Those with T1/T2/low T3 (and sometimes T4/5) ships are occasionally flying into Open Space and using the synergy to level their ships. Something you learn in game design is that you sometimes have to restrict things to allow players to do what they expect to be able to do. Giving them free synergy somewhat counteracts their thoughts of using open space to level a certain ship.

Would free synergy across the board be better for veterans? Yes. But would it for new players? You’d think so, but no. The game doesn’t need more complexity at the base level, especially when newer players are involved. It’s better to keep it as-is, as frustrating as that may be to veterans.

I understand, what you meant.

In Open Space going with some rusty old ship at rank 1 is a terrible idea.

Everyone smart, uses T4 or T5 Recon or Tackler, which is usually Premium, of course.

New players aren’t inherently making ‘smart’ decisions, and that’s kind of the point. New players are new players, you can’t shun them or screw them over because they’re bad. Adding complexity at the base level does both.

tbh I think loyalty vouchers would make more sense of a reward than synergy. Synergy is about flying a ship and getting better at it, so it makes sense it is rewarded for kills and stuff like in PvP and PvE. As these are missions for a faction it would make more sense that the reward is loyalty vouchers as you are doing an errand for the faction. This would make running Open Space missions more useful as we all the know the fastest and most fun way to earn synergy is by playing PvP. Same goes for the blue ! missions.

I agree, but why not have both, while we are at it?

And why not let contracts give synergy, credits, and monocrystal while we’re at it?

Resource acquisition requires players to stick around and do several different things to acquire the different resources. The game has grind. That’s the idea.

Lol, that is how they work now! What’s your point?

We’ve discussed this and don’t plan to change it now.
