Its a pretty common ‘worn metal’ look on things in games. I like it because it shows my ship’s been used. It’s been through a lot and gives the illusion its survived that long. :]

I always fall short of the Maniac medal on those ships. I do get 20/30+ assists all the time…

Well, probably because you do play them like a support ship. I played my Katana S with Kine a bit yesterday as he was getting to grips with his new gunship. I was booked on exactly 13 kills nearly every time I took it out for some reason. I need a “13” sticker for that ship.

It’s also that the ship has among the fewest non-paintable areas of all ships, so you can do much nicer paintjobs.
