so i know alot of people have asked for this, but i havnt seen anyone talk about this and the devs adress it so, could we have the ability to sell our ships? i have a few that i really dont want anymore, could i please have the ability to click a button and sell it?
Not gonna happen
Not gonna happen
why do you say that?
because that would take away the ‘grindyness’, which would in turn make buying gold standards a tad less appealing.
In future, if you have any questions, ask yourself: if we had that, would i be able to save some money? If the answer is yes, than the answer to your original question is NO
It is not planned to be able to sell ships.
selling ships would alleviate the cost of new ship.
selling ships would free space, so no more spending ridiculous amounts on ‘storage space’
selling ships would make ‘trying ships’ possible, again, alleviating the cost
let’s stop beating around the bush, Error, and be frank with it.
devs. are. greedy.
which is not cool in a beta game.

of course devs are greedy mate, if they weren’t they would be public servants.
and while it might make it easier to do certain things by selling ships, considering the xxxx return rate you get on selling modules, you will probably end up losing more money then you would have if you had just upgraded the storage capacity, also keeping a T1 or T2 etc ship or 2 handy and fully equipped allows you to drop back down to that level to perhaps play with friends who aren’t quite at your Tier yet etc. etc.
while i agree from a consumers standpoint it might be nice to be able to sell ships and have the choice in our own hands, from the Devs standpoint it would be a loss of potential income. while i consider it xxxx to do, some people who’s time is more valuable then their money, might buy and convert Galactic standards to regular credits in order to purchase the new ship they want or upgrade their storage (i dont know how high storage costs get, only T2 here).
so yeah, you have to look at both sides, and consider both sides to any particular issue, in this case i see no real reason for the devs to make this happen. (objectively speaking that is, subjectively i would welcome the change with open arms ofc.)
you seriously think there’s nothing wrong with the way devs are milking money (well, making xxxx hard so that they could milk money)???
If yes, than you are truly an archetype of a sheep, and, as such, a wet dream of every salesman everywhere, ever.

Anyone who doesn’t agree with you is a sheep. Nice ad hominem.
Products cost money to make. You then sell them for money. If the market will bear the price, then it is fair. If not then the price will change or the business will close. Fairly simple.
Devs arn’t really greedy. I mean on World of Tanks they don’t give you a gold standard at all without you having to buy it or win it in some kind of challenge or competition. Granted they took away the free gold standards… I wouldn’t buy a premium ship and don’t have enoiugh for a premium weap but I want stickers lol.

Don’t you get all high and righteous with me, boy.
First, i haven’t attacked you personally or your character, so you might want to google what exactly ‘ad hominem’ means.
Secondly, i never said that everyone that disagrees with me in general is a sheep (meaning that all my statements are by default right).
I was talking about a specific case here, and i directing that specifically to you.
Yes, product costs money, but there are more subtle ways to get that money, especially if the game is in beta.
The way devs are inflating prices left and right is not cool towards the playerbase that actually decided to invest in them (me included).
Finally, i really don’t want this game to fail, and it’s been on a very thin ice for the last couple of patches so yeah…

I think you have the right argument but your arguing over the wrong thing. Personally I don’t mind not being able to sell ships , just means they will always be there for me to fly. What I don’t like is the way they keep slightly raising the prices of premium ships and other gold related things.
mate, i know devs need to eat.
what i have a problem with is the sneaky way that they milk money, stealth inflation while they play stupid (‘who, we???’).
This is, after all, a beta, how and when do they plan on balancing t4?
I, as someone who invested (and still plan on investing, maybe), i feel cheated. They pulled (and are pulling) classic bait-and-switch.
-Here’s a product, it’s not finished, but you can have it.
-cool, ok, i like it, have some money
-AWESOME. CURRENCY ACQUIRED, BEGIN HACKING
Don’t you get all high and righteous with me, boy.
Is the point of “boy” here that only girls are righteous?
Or is it that you know my ethnicity and are being incredibly racist? If so…wow, dude. Join the 21st century.

The point you were making is that those who disagreed with you were somehow deficient in capacity. That’s not only arrogance, it is an ad hominem - because you were resorting to attacking the people rather than the argument itself. Read a book or two.

It’s not the responsibility of the devs to be subtle. They don’t owe you subtlety. In particular, beta is exactly where you should be trying gross experimentation. You have a large pool of users and your product is not in official release. This is the perfect time to swing the pendulum wildly.
Your hostility is working against your arguments, not for them.
how the xxxx could i possibly know your color or age? so you can xxxx right off with that kinds of accusations.
yet you come off like a nerdy 20-something (i consier myself a nerd, so keep your pants on) trying to sound smart.
And failing.
You are sadly full of xxxx: neither did i mentioned anyone but you (you pulled that generalization out of your xxxx), neither was that an ad hominem attack.
finally, this is a _paying _beta, so a little subtlety can (and will) make or brake a product, and can go a long way.
As i said, i don’t want this to go down, the potential is enormous.
but yeah, i wont argue with internet idiots, so consider yourself a winner.
i’m out.
I believe that due to the progression system they use for advancing in rank, selling ships isn’t viable. Imagine building a building and needing more money to build it higher, you can’t sell the foundation or the lower floors to make more floor above them. Star Conflict uses a progression system and it’s a pretty simple one. Dose it involve work, time, and effort? Yes. When I get a new ship, I like to feel like I earned it.
So they are not going to allow the selling of ship and for a understandable reason. And yes due to the 8.0 patch and rework we own ships that are not connected on the progression tree. But, that was something they had to do to make the new content work
I’m personally having more fun with the new patch than i was with the old.
