I would like to reactivate the idea of mining ships for open space resource gathering:
If big ships like our destroyers could be specially build to be mining ships… I guess some player would love it.
Tweaks for the destroyers could be:
-
defense drones (3-4) that can be switched from defense to repair mode manually but are not op in DPS nor range
- or, mining defense shield bubble that makes mining possible under a protected state
- a special mining scanner (active or passive) module that is effectively capable for a special mining ship
-
’send cargo home’ drones as a special active module
- a stack inventory that would stack items (like fuel, ores) instead of one per slot in a special extended hull module
-
mining energy router mode to have a modus that allows extraction of ores/stashes/containers/dead ship hulls around the ship from multiple sources in a certain wider perimeter (like 3-4km)
- mining should gain income to ones corporation , too, like a market tax, sort of. Lore would be: this huge quantum of resource can only be sold via ones corporation…
- a privateers and pirates station in centre of our open space map (Fort Muerto)
- own private hangar-station in open space, in a buidlable/buyable station project like the pirate stations (see picture) - hangars inside would be in a ‘standard look’ aka all the same - only location to start when undock from asteroid would differ from old standard 3 stations of franctions + elly station…
What’s your say about this (not new) idea? Maybe its right time before release of Open Space evolution patch?

If they are older than 6 months, they were probably rejected or stored somewhere depending on the content of the suggestion of course.
Simply make a new suggestion or an improvement of the old one you held very important or useful and i’ll see what i can do.
I wouldn’t suggest something useless. All of my suggestion added variety or different things to OS. If you say an easy way to view myself through posted threads, it would make the search easier.

In my own opinion they were rejected probably, seeing that they are from the past year (may/june/july).
There is no need to feel offended nor disheartened just because the suggestions didn’t get to be a thing. Basically i’m here to help with the suggestion gathering and putting it for review but i can’t put something from last year, only new ones. I can’t answer for the old ones, i can just assume what happened and nothing more,
And what to do with them?
Reposting 1:1 to make them ‘new’?
Pushing so they appear ‘new’?
Or abandon and forget them?
Read them through again, think about how to improve them if you want, probably combine them into one since some of them are of similar topic and post them again, new and improved, but don’t flood the forum with mini-suggestions tho.

It would be like BSGO, undermining resources from 'asteroid with a mining ship, so as to attract more players in open space and make wars. I I was also thinking about an outpost that contains resources to attract corporations in the open space and make the most open to you is to continue. let's face the percentage that offers the open space is miserable but also comparisons between players are low, it makes no sense to have an open space with no wars or resources I'll do a post on this idea to undermine and make war in the open space
