Set Bounties on players in open space.

After getting killed from said player in the duplicator screen you can have the option to set a bounty. You could put up credits or gold, maybe even mono crystals. The player would then have asterisk over his ship when in open space to indicate to others this player has a special bounty. The person with the bounty could be safe if he has n00b protection on. Only one bounty allowed at time per person to keep things from getting confusing. I can see that stacking up fast on some players who are really hard to kill.

I think this would be a good payback feature for players too weak to get even. It could bring more interest in this boring game mode. I know you greedy devs love ways to extract gold out of us. This could allow players who would otherwise not have gold to earn gold.

 

 

 No way. It could be used to trade with other players. 

Can be abused - you kill a clanmate and he give you a 1 credit bounty - and then every victim on your hunt can’t use this option. Or as said: You kill your clanmate in sector x, then clanmate c go while you have the bounty on you, get killed by him, trade succesful.

The main purpose of this is allow for revenge while awarding another player who completed the hit. The player who put the bounty up can care less who got it as long as someone kills the person they set the bounty on.

I can see others wanting to use it as a trade system, but again I see no harm in that.

Dev don’t want a trading system at all.

Anything that can be used to trade won’t be.

Well os is basically a trading system. People do it all the time with things already in place. 

You can only trade what you have in your cargo, which mean that you can only give what anyone could have got.

With your request, it makes it possible to trade things we don’t have on our cargo, there’s a HUGE difference.

Swifter43021 is right. Devs seem to hate anything related to a trade system. Included bounties in OS. Besides, there is too  little people with station protection off or flying PVP sectors in OS to be this relevant these days.

Trading among the players leads to scam. We can’t handle to fight it for now. 

We previously had a plans for developing karma’s influence in OS, so, there’s a big chance for this suggestion to come in)
