As far as i know.
Rank 7-9 plays against the Destroyer.
Rank 10 -12 plays against a easy Defiler.
Rank 13-15 plays against a hard Defiler.
So why does it include Destroyer in the text when you will never play against it. or cant since minimum rank is 13
There are several Special Operations:
- Defiler - ranks 10-15
- Destroyer - ranks 7-9 / 10-12 / 13-15
The rank depends on the rank of the highest ship in your team.
Defiler spec op is R11-r15 hence usage of Destroyers
Destroyer spec op is R13-r15, and r11 Destroyers are NOT available in that game mode.

Dat reading skills xD I think akaurl also meant for R10-15 defiler (which allows T4 ships: R10-12). BTW if you read the description from the event (that akaurl linked), you may see that defiler spec ops specifies no rank, cause theres only 1 instance of it:
“Center pays 3000 Galactic Standards to each pilot of a group that takes the first place in the ranking of special operations ‘Defiler’ or ‘Destroyer’ (only for ranks 13-15).” the parenthesis is only for destroyer spec ops.

You are terribly wrong here, also confirming what mecron says (that you havent played T5 spec ops): theres only 1 instance for defiler: you may say its easy or hard, but its only one, name it however you want its the same for anyone.
