Revert back to previous monocrystal reward for daily Open Space mission!

Getting monos in PVP, however low the drop rate is, is the best change in a long time. The OS missions got boring quickly. I stopped doing them a long time ago.

The first PvP victory of the day should guarantee a monocrystal and a neodium/beryllium drop, ship requirements permitting. Similar to how the first PvE victory guarantees a purple loot spot. Then you can say that it’s the same amount. 

One less reason to go in open space… they’re effectively killing it

Anyway, im off for a long long break from the game now.

Or atleast until next patch comes along.  hopefully things will get fixed then. but i have my doubts.

Seen the direction this game has taken the last months. it aint looking good.

The game lost its appeal to me after the last couple of updates.

 

I don’t find good the update of 10 impure neodium/berilium for 1 plate, this is too overpriced if you don’t increase the Open space drop rate at least for 3-5x times the actual drop rate. Also monocrystals rewards should not be reduced, but increased, by dropping them and other ores in PVP , PVE and PVAI with a better drop rate and removing low credits trophies. Only good thing would be that elite ships can farm such crafting materials, but their drop rates seems not good now.

Developers (and accountants) will justify bad decisions like these with all kinds of faulty logic (perhaps even some sound logic like “we gotta pay the bills”). What is no justifiable is the minds of the players who now realize that their “static” grind of guaranteed monocrystals has just been increased 50%. 

 

This is the kind of stuff that paying people leave games over. These are the kind of amateur decisions that sink companies. You have to consider the player’s mindset. This will upset a lot of players who will take their money with them. It’s not Soviet Russia; you can’t take away half of people’s encouragement and say work harder, you’ll get just as much as you did before if you are lucky.

So lemme get this straight;

  1. OS rewards were made xxxx.

  2. OS enemies were made harder.

  3. OS rewards were made from xxxx to worse xxxx due to crafting changes.

  4. OS mission rewards were made ******** and 10x as hard.

Seems like sound game development to me.

I know what happened. It seems to me SC is pushing everyone to play PvP, because of the constatnt complaints about the long queues. It was already weird when the Sector Conquest was tied to PvP. It makes no sense at all from any other logic than SC needs peeople playing PvP. But hey, some players like the Open Space. Some players appreciate the open world part of the games. That’s why every single game bet on that approach nowadays. It’s not really hard to notice that.

There is no point in doing anything in openspace anymore.
All you are doing there is wasting time…

Looks like, yes. I don’t get it why.

Also, why so many others can play with r11 ships when I choose only r8 ships but when I choose r11s I go against r14s. Never ever had a battle when I had the highest rank ships in that rank range. Or at least I can’t remember. But this is just some whining and b… hurt… and the lacking of fun.
